Glen View Pod

Such a beautiful little pod and so close to town. The pod is so cosy and has all the amenities you could need. The bed is really comfy and there’s heating, if you get cold. It’s within walking distance of both Ben Nevis and Fort William town centre. Caro is the perfect host, very welcoming and really good at communication. Thank you!

So close to Ben Nevis

Having never stayed in a pod before, we were impressed with Caro’s ability to squeeze so much into such a tiny space! The pod is well kitted out for kitchen supplies, and we particularly appreciated the quality coffee maker. Everything was sparkling clean, and there are games, DVDs and books galore to help while away the time. Caro gave us good directions to the pod — which I neglected to follow and would advise others to take heed! Once there and settled, we walked the short distance into the town centre and enjoyed supper at the Ben Nevis pub. There are plenty of other places to choose from, along with all sorts of shops. Caro is a warm and welcoming host, and the pod is located in a quiet neighbourhood.

If you’re only staying for one night, as we were, my advice is to take what you need for the night into the pod and leave your suitcases in your vehicle. There is no room for suitcases as well as day packs, and very little counter space for things like shaving kit and other toiletries. The bed is tucked away neatly, but too small for us even though we’re quite friendly!!
