Excellent spot to explore outdoors and come home to relax

Very clean, well equipped kitchen and lots of information about the area and local amenities , good communication from the host and a welcome cake👍

Property was fine, felt very authentic , really gave a feel of the way it must have been but with modern facilities, good balance.

Delightful

Cottage full of character! Incredible location right next to slate quarry mountains, Maggie provided lots and lots of info about things to do, walking routes, local businesses, etc. Very charming property, felt like stepping back in time.

Spend a night in an authentic miner’s house!

The house is practically a museum, it was a miners, house that has been bought and saved by the owners. You can tell they really love it! Being very old you cannot expect it to have the same comforts of a modern building, but what it lacks in gadgets it makes up for in charm and coziness. Be specially aware if you are a tall fellow, the doors and other corners of the house may be challenging! Maggie makes an incredible host, filling up the house with all kinds of instructions and suggestions to explore the area. You’ll find games and DVDs in the house as well as welcome fruitcake. Maggie frequently checks up with the host through booking and replies right away to any question one may have. Finally the beds were the best we had so far in our trip ;)

We loved everything abt the property. Bleanau Ffestiniog though, even if it is a strategic place to explore North Wales, is not a very lively town…

super quaint cottage, excellent hosts, excellent facilities and great location

perfect location. super quaint cottage. excellent communication from the host. amazing facilities within. would stay again.

could do with a comfier sofa, HOWEVER the access is so limited I can completely understand why. I liked it, but do be aware it’s tiny upstairs and the stairs are steep. my husband and I are 6ft and it was hilarious watching our heads. not a complaint though, just so people know.

Great for hobbits

The cottage was clean and tidy

You learn to duck early on. The rooms are small and there was no shower, the bath was not used as one can’t stand up in it without hitting the ceiling.
