Great for all our needs & the hot tub was a bonus & the host was good at letting us know it was up to temperatur

It was great for the 6 of us & our dog! Spacious, clean & comfortable. We loved the hot tub & the kitchen was well stocked with crockery, pans & utensils

We’re not a fan of Alexa & it wasn’t clear how to use Alexa to power the downstairs shower, but we grasped it on the last day. The instructions could do with being a little clearer

Location is amazing and setting is very nice

Felt slightly uncomfortable with a camera aiming right at the hot tub and the rules made me feel like I was being watched. Understandable in such a valuable property but maybe a little over the top. Also no ashtrays provided but rules set about smoking location which were again fair but no ashtrays made this a little uncomfortable and felt like I had to leave the property to smoke cigarettes

Amazing Stay!

We had an amazing stay over Christmas. Beautiful views, comfortable and fully equipped cottage. The hot tub was a great addition. The complimentary prosecco & chocolates were very much appreciated! Communication from the hosts was great.

The cottage did get very cold and no option to turn the heating up but once I reached out to the hosts, they rectified this immediately. We did find the amount of rules a little daunting when reading them but understood why they needed to be made clear. It was a little strange to have the front door (not used) leading straight into the downstairs bathroom as there were plain bits in the glass so anyone who had gone down the path to the front of the property would be able to see straight into the bathroom. I chose not to use the shower downstairs for this reason but there was a fully functioning bathroom upstairs too so didnt affect our stay at all.

FRAUD ALERT!‼️ GDPR and privacy breach- records customers without disclosing presence of CCTV

Nothing The owner is a fraudster - keeps deposit and fabricates reasons not to return deposit

The owner, of this property Melfyn Griffith ( Mel) is illegally recording/monitoring/storing images of their guests and breaching their privacy and GDPR UK laws without disclosing the presence of CCTV on the booking sites or marking it clearly at the property entrance. -The house was freezing cold ( 6th December)when we arrived and had to ask the host for heating to be put on. -Some of the bed linens were not changed- it looked like somebody just got out of bed and pulled the covers over. We had to make ourselves the bed using a sheet from the spare sofa bed downstairs. -The cleaning is done superficially: we found used tissues, dirt and confetti under bed ( master bedroom) and in the corridor. -There was old wet clothes in the washing machine left by her “cleaners” -There are slimy snails coming out from the kitchen sink The lady managing the property does not answer calls, only texts. -Deposit is not returned even if guests did not cause any damage. She is inventing reasons to buy time like: waiting a report from her cleaners about how I left the property. I questioned the presence of CCTV not being disclosed at the time of booking or displayed when arriving at the house - directly with the property manager and Booking .com - no answer yet 10 days later. -I am a regular Booking.com customer for the past 20 years, never came across anything like this - I even took my rubbish back home from Wales to Cambridge to not give her a reason to hold my deposit. - MY DEPOSIT HAS NOT BEEN RETURNED!!! 26tb December 2025 !!She is a FRAUD!! I have to take legal action against her to recover my deposit!!! She fabricated the reason that I damaged her stinky floor, I provided video of damage being there on my arrival and she called me a liar. I am including the ohoto for future customers- be aware !!! Here is the picture of damaged floor she uses to scam people .

40 minutes drive from Zipworld (Penrhyn site) Good amount of space in main house Easy parking

Had to pay a security deposit of £100 and so far this has not been returned, and the host nor the company are replying to messages or emails regarding this. UPDATE: submitted this review 27th October, it’s now the 12th November (we stayed on 18th October) and my deposit has still not been returned and the host is not replying to any messages or phone calls. TravelNest and booking.com have been useless and unhelpful. I would strongly suggest you do not send this host any money, or even better don’t bother staying here at all. Property could’ve been cleaner, quite a lot of dust in areas in the annexe. Be aware one double bed is in a separate building/annexe to rest of the house.

Wouldn't stay again.....

I stayed with a group of friends. The location was good for the Welsh slate trail.

The ridiculous, lengthy (badly spelt) lecture about dos and donts before we arrived. This made us feel on edge before we even got there. We took photos of everything when we arrived due to being asked to pay a further £100 deposit on top of what we paid already to release the key code to get in. (Just in case of breakages) I had to chase him for the deposit back nearly two weeks later. Alexa kept switching itself on through the night with loud music but we were scared to turn it off as the email said we could be charged if any electrical items were touched! It was value for money, however, don't expect luxury, the place is dated, which is fine, but paint peeling off kitchen cupboards, vinal flooring coming up in the bathroom. It was clean and comfortable, but we won't be staying again and I would suggest to the owner not to frighten people off with your lengthy dos and donts before they get there! We didn't use the hot tub as on the list it said that if you spilt a drink in it you would be fined, do you not clean it after people stay anyway??? I wouldn't get in a hot tub that hadn't been cleaned! We certainly couldn't relax...

Great stay will be back next year

I loved the personal touches we had been out of a 5 hour hike so to walk in to tea biscuits and milk and even a bottle of bubbly was lovely. It had a lovely homely feel inside everything you needed was there. Great view and perfect distance for a beautiful hike :) highly reccomend.

Hard drive up the hill but this cant be avoided worth getting to the top.

The snowdon challenge

The accommodation had everything we needed it was very comfortable. The views were amazing and close by to the amenities. Would definitely stay again.

Not simple and straight forward.

Plenty of space. Clean kitchen and bathrooms. Hot tub was ready. Towels offered.

Additional deposit and instructions. Navigation route too steep for car to climb. Additional cost to use some facilities. Lots of instructions. Some rooms bit dated and dark lighting. Lights above dining table didn't work. Everything is not handled on booking.com. Have to follow additional instructions after booking. Almost got stranded at 8pm on Sunday after 10hr snowdonia walk. Booking agency was closed. Many instructions. Had to do most of cleaning clearing rubbish as had additional charges caveats if not in correct recycling bins. Still awaiting on deposit return after almost month.

lovely clean property, loved the outhouse great to separate our two work groups! Loved all the little gifts too , shortbread was lovely!! Wonderful place to stay , would 100% recommend and stay again.

A very enjoyable break in beautiful Wales

The location is amazing and provides a great starting point to enjoy beautiful countryside as well as other attractions. The property is well equipped and offers 2 hot tubs as well as a pizza oven. The hosts are very attentive and kind. They answered all our questions very promptly and when we couldn't work out the pizza oven they came and helped us with it. They were very welcoming and we were greeted with a bottle of Prosecco, biscuits and sweets which was very much appreciated.

We enjoyed everything but felt that perhaps the list of rules and instructions was slightly excessive particularly if you're only staying for 1 night - it was quite a read and maybe I'd prefer a shorter version. That said, catering for larger groups must come with a lot of challenges and risks so completely understand it.
