Great, family and dog friendly accommodation. Very warm considering we stayed on a cold rainy February night. Beds were warm comfy and hot water bottles were supplied to help us stay extra warm. Went for one of childrens birthdays and they loved it and want to come back for thier next birthday already.
That we couldn't stay longer.

It was good but the utensils were not properly cleaned
The water from the shower was stinking

Beautiful location and good value for money. Loved the facilities including fresh tap water, hot showers, log fireplace, 2x electric heaters, etc…
It’s also nice that it’s right next to ZipWorld
One of the bed sheets had a massive orange patch on it.
The lack of an oven was inconvenient for our dinner plans for roast potatoes but we made it work and just had mash.

Comfortable beds, quickly heated up when fire was on. Well laid out and perfectly equipped
Quite loud when it was windy, but it probably added to the experience.

Great location. Very cosy vibes - perfect if you’re going to Zip world as it’s just down the road.
The shower would go very hot then very cold.

The tent was actually really nice and well equipped but totally let down by the location.
The website paints this place as a ‘retreat’ overlooking the ‘remnants’ of a quarry. It is in fact overlooking a working quarry with noisy machinery and traffic going right past, starting from 7am. We are really not fussy people and rarely leave reviews but I really need to share how far removed this was from what we were expecting - it was a bad experience from the start and we ended up leaving 2 nights into our 3 night stay. The views they show throughout the website are behind the tents and what you can actually see is an ugly quarry. We were given the wrong instructions for checking in and were hanging around for over an hour at a now defunct building. A group of lads turned up in one of the tents and we could hear every word they were saying until gone 2am then the next day we were in the middle of taking showers when other guests tried to get into our tent as they’d been told it was theirs. All topped off by a kid flying a noisy drone endlessly over the tents. It was so totally disappointing and such a bad experience that we took the hit and lost money as well as paying to stay somewhere else for the 3rd night. We asked to speak to someone when we left and were told a manager would call us - that was over 4 weeks ago and we’ve heard nothing. Unless you’re looking to stay as it’s close to the (great) zip lines, I would avoid this place.

Incredible location with the most glorious view and evening sun. Walking distance for zipworld. Fully equipped tent, very clean and cosy, enough firewood for 2 nights. Super helpful staff and much needed help in driving up to the tent with our bags

Amazing glamping pod. Toilet and shower fantastic. Comfy beds and lots of facilities. Balcony and the staff were super helpful
The view was of a quarry and there was work being carried out until 6pm which was noisy. The view was not want we expected- it was okay but there was a frame of a building in the process of being build and lorry’s from the quarry running to and from. There was also light pollution at night

Friendly staff. Lovely tent, comfy beds. Interesting view and setting. Kids loved it as very novel.
Was very hot. Fortunately we took our own electric fan. Adding this to the already great appliances in the tent would be welcome.

The setting of the property was beautiful and the views were amazing. Property was still pretty warm at night despite having a more ‘tent’ type roof. Spacious and beds very comfortable
Pressure in the shower wasn’t great and could potentially be improved. Great if it had a TV for the evenings where it’s raining and you can’t sit outside

Great accomodation high in the hills. If you like the view on an old coal-mine, then you'll really appreciate it here. The "tent" is great and has everything that you need (including a fireplace). Some tents have a nice bbq. Ours had a very simple one (just a pair of stones with a metal rack), but it worked fine.
It's a pretty long walk down to your car. Make sure you've got everything, because a trip to the car requires a pretty long hike. Don't think that you can carry your luggage yourself, but use the service provided by the facility (only until 6PM). Breakfast is brought to the accomodation (extra), but it's supermarket quality.
Although the old coal-mine is an UNESCO site, I didn't like the view. I would have preferred a more nature view, but it's pretty clear on their website.
