We love it at this place. The host was the best you can imagine. He made our day so much better with the best bear and wine at the evening and breakfast in the morning. The kitchen is so cool and the bed was nice.

Eggcelent!

The location is good and the breakfast is excellent. Of course the best of all is the host, who is beyond accomodating - I would say he is adorable. Very friendly and welcoming, goes the extra mile to make you feel at home. We stayed for 2 nights and he cokked 2 different versions of morning eggs for our breakfast. Really outstanding!

The room is quite small and narrow, not suited for tall people. If you can handle this, I would advise to not let you deter you from booking here, specially if you are into supporting locals with their endeavors.

Great stay at a cosy flat, Super host!

We enjoyed very much the stay in our appartment with our wonderful host Janvier. He welcomed us with a cold beer. The flat was very tidy and we had also an own bathroom. There is also a little garden outside to relax. Janvier prepared his famous omelette for us on Saturday. Would have been nice to stay longer! Next time in Dinant we would choose this accomodation again. Great!

Everything was fine. Maybe the stairs are a problem for people with handicap.

friendly stay, good value

Our host was so friendly, welcoming us with a beer and sharing lots of advice on where to eat and drink in the town (which we took and were very pleased with the recommendations) The bed was comfortable and all the facilities were great, we were able to park nearby as well.

I hadn't realised the host lived in the property as well, but it wasn't a problem at all

Extra friendly owner, nice terrace and lovely decorations. The breakfast was also good. And there is a fridge with welcome drinks in the room. I would recommend it.

The room is a bit small but it doesn't matter as far as we haven't spent a lot of time there.

The host Janvier was super friendly, he assisted is to park The car, he told us about sightseeing that we never knew were in Dinant. Very delicious breakfast, very clean. I totally recommend it. The host is honestly amazing. You will have a great experience with him, very hopen fun and discreet. A person who really likes what he is doing ! We hope to come back soon !

The ceiling is a bit low, not a problem for us but for some tall people might be uncomfortable a bit.

Small studio with a perfect host

The host is very kind and makes you feel extremely welcome and at home. His pleasant personality and helpfullness (great hospitality and tips to explore Dinant) outweigthed the inconveniences we experienced.

The rooms (bed- and bathroom) can not be closed (locked). We selected private bathroom and were a little surpised to share the house and bathroom with the host. Allthough our privacy was respected to the max. it still felt a bit inconvenient. All the rooms (in particular the studio upstairs) are very full and small especcialy for tall people.

A great host and comfortable place

The property was an easy walk down the paved river paths to train and to city center. The host was beyond accommodating and filled with love and enthusiasm for Dinant. He should work for the tourism department. This shared home met all our needs and more. For picky Americans, we enjoyed it more than we expected!

We are not use to having a private bathroom but the host gave all opportunities for our privacy.

Great place to start a city trip in Belgium

We had a great time. The host was very nice and helpful. He gave us a map and told us what can we visit in Dinant. Janvier evan took us with the car to the Dinant Cave. We didn't know that we will be staying with the host. This didn't bother us, it was an opportunity to have a talk with a local about the life in Belgium. Everything was clean, the kitchen was well equipped and what is very important to us, that it was quiet. We had a great time, we liked the place.

For us it wasn't nothing to say negative but I think it is fair to mention some details. First, you are staying with the host in his home. Maybe someone doesn't like the idea of airbnb. For us it was an opportunity to have a chat at a glass of wine. Second, the stairs were narrow and the room was in the attic. We always travel light, only with backpacks, but for someone with heavy luggage or movement problems it may be a challenge. Third, the ceiling of the room was low. We are short people but for tall people it may be a challenge again.

Great place to stay!

Janvier, the host, was amazing and so very hospitable to host us at his lovely place. He had a very clean house, the famous Leffe beers as a small gift for us and had a delicious special omlete breakfast! The spot is a bit of a distance from the center, but it is perfect to sleep in!

Angenehmer Aufenthalt bei Janvier !

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt in diesem charmanten Zimmer/Studio /Haus . Die Lage ist gut ca 2 km bis zum Zentrum von Dinant, besonders da das Parken direkt vor der Tür in der Einbahnstraße kostenfrei und sehr bequem war. Die Unterkunft selbst ist gut aufgeteilt. Das Wohn- und Esszimmer im Erdgeschoss bietet eine gemütliche Atmosphäre mit Couch, großem Tisch und Fernseher, direkt angrenzend an die Küche.Das Badezimmer ist in der ersten Etage, das nicht nur eine Badewanne/Dusche bot, sondern auch mit Waschmaschine und Trockner ausgestattet ist – sehr praktisch! Unser Dachgeschosszimmer war ruhig und niedlich,natürlich mit Dachschräge ,einem Bett, 2 kleine Schränke und einem kleinen Kühlschrank. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Gastfreundschaft von Janvier, auch wenn er sehr zurückhaltend war. Er war wie ein "guter Geist": Obwohl wir ihn nur zweimal kurz getroffen haben, war das ausgezeichnete Frühstück jeden Morgen wie von Zauberhand perfekt vorbereitet – eine wirklich tolle und aufmerksame Geste! Der Zugang zum Garten über den Flur in der ersten Etage durch ein Fenster war ebenfalls nett. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können Janviers Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Vielen Dank für die ruhigen und erholsamen Tage!

Wir haben nichts zu beanstanden. Janvier hat Bilder auf seiner Seite. Wir wussten was uns erwartet und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Wer mehr Luxus braucht, soll ins Hotel gehen.

Emplacement idéal proche centre ville. Logement très propre. Lit confortable. Janvier le propriétaire nous a accueilli avec beaucoup de gentillesse, de respect, et de conseil pour notre séjour. Je recommande !

A refaire

Hôte plus qu'aimable, avec de "petites" attentions (tout ce qu'il faut pour le petit-déjeuner, des bouteilles d'eau et plus), dans une rue à circulation locale, très calme, et parking disponible en rue. Frigo dans la chambre en plus de la cuisine, jolie décoration, WIFI fonctionnel, douche + baignoire dans la salle de bain. Hôte très discret, on se croirait chez soi.

Escalier "de meunier" -raide- pour arriver au 1er étage mais c'était annoncé. Le plafond sous toiture est très bas dans la chambre. On se cogne moins avec le temps.

Wir erlebten sehr angenehme, romantische und abenteuerliche Tage. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und konnten dem Alltag vollständig entfliehen. Nochmals vielen Dank an Janvier für den liebevoll vorbereiteten Geburtstagstisch und das Geschenk. Die Rosen, die du für mich gekauft hast, waren wunderschön und super frisch.

Es gibt nichts, was uns nicht gefallen hat.
