Bath House Hotel & Restaurant

Lovely boutique style hotel in the middle of Chard. Good location for touring, though not much in the town itself. The only night the restaurant was open was a treat .

Parking was available but slightly challenging, and a power cut wasn't great!

Location was great, very central. Room was lovely and clean The restaurant was lovely in the evening and very friendly staff. There is free parking at the back and side of the property for guests so you don't need to try find parking elsewhere. There's a great health shop called Health & Remedy just at the start of the street & on Saturday morning there's a little market out on the main street through the town.

The bedside lamps had odd bulbs for a lamp, very dim spotlight bulbs in a normal lamp so when the lamps were on it was still fairly dark. Bathroom was very small and the sink very low, the shower door had quite a step over the frame and have to be careful not to kick it. TV was an older very small model high up in a corner. I think a slightly bigger TV on another wall would have been much better. Oddly for a double bed, it had 2 single duvets, would have been better with just one full-size duvet. I had a full breakfast on the first day and the sausage tasted cheap and full of fillers, which was a shame as it looked very nice otherwise. All very minor issues that could be easily rectified.
