Unique loft apartment in Le Marais

We were met, provided a tour and given the keys. The host was easy to reach and responded quickly to my question. The apartment is exactly as listed. The location is excellent and we enjoyed our stay.

This location was perfect for me and my family. The host met us and walked us through the property and all amenities. She also provided local recommendations at checkin and even via messaging after. She was very responsive and helpful. The apartment was quiet at night and was great for my family of 6. The downstairs would not be good for persons with mobility issues but my mother who was physically challenged could easily stay upstairs on the ground level with no problems. Was a very unique and perfect place to stay.

Read between the lines of the description: This is a BASEMENT apartment. That translated to a strong musty odor throughout the unit that got continually worse over the stay and necessitated the nonstop use of a dehumidifier. Allergic reactions to the must meant three guests left the unit after the first night and went to a hotel, significantly adding to the expense of the trip. Also, the top rack of the dishwasher was covered in mold by the end of our stay, probably because of the humidity. It’s also not the safest place we’ve ever stayed—the stairs going down to the lower level are extremely steep, worn and uneven. You’ll need to keep the lights on in the hallway 24/7 and I don’t recommend hauling a heavy suitcase downstairs unless you have a strong person to carry it back up safely. Finally, the towels were really cheap and rough.
