Beauquartier - Marais Pastourelle

Location was in a great spot, the apartment was spotless, coded access was easy, small touches like the usb charger port by the bedside lamps were appreciated. Big comfortable bed, proper black out curtains, pretty well sound proofed - there’s a bar next door and we heard nothing and slept well. Generally felt very private. The separate bathroom was great, so the room didn’t get soggy from steam, and the coffee making machine with pods was handy for a quick morning fix before leaving for the day. We didn’t cook but had all we needed at hand for preparing fruit and snacks. The high ceiling and beams added character, the decor was more tasteful than many hotels I’ve stayed in. Hair dryer and iron with board provided. We were visiting for business and this was a frictionless stay, we would come back. WhatsApp contact and info was helpful and quick (AI with a human when needed).

We couldn’t see the sky on opening the curtains, just walls. A couple of bottles of water in the fridge would have been great. And there is no air conditioning- but the fan provided helped a lot during the summer heat so it wasn’t an issue for us.

There was no air-conditioning and no cooling / the fan was inadequate . As we walked up the stairs we felt it getting hotter and hotter I had to sleep with a wet towel draped on me because otherwise I would not have been able to sleep . A small portable air-conditioner would have made a big difference

The two floor studio was unique. The neighborhood is well situated and bustling with people, but no loud traffic noises so it was easy to sleep. Using the luggage storage was straightforward enough.

I thought the kitchen might be cute to try preparing a meal as we are avid cooks and eating out constantly can be tiring. But the kitchen was minimally equipped. There were two pans (nonstick teflan) with a handle to share between them like you were camping. I was unable to get any sort of early check-in which is fine, but as our flight arrived quite early in the morning from the US, we were ready to access our room and freshen up at our checkin time, and they were still servicing the room. They said they only needed five more minutes which is fine, but I felt like they rushed when we arrived and didn't do a great job cleaning as they otherwise would have. We had waited long enough, it wouldn't have been to much of a hassle to have taken another 30 minute walk or something. I requested fresh sheets after my first night's stay and they said it would be 72 euros for the service. I declined, but this meant I slept on sheets that I otherwise would not have wished to sleep on for a honeymoon experience for two more nights.
