Lovely home in quaint village

Well equipped home and comfortable. Parking was very good and home came with nice touches such as bread, juice, milk and cereal and other goodies that if you checked in late you can have a hearty breakfast. In the country located in a quaint village with views and only 10 minutes from town. There is also a shop in the village. Many opportunities to walk out on trails in the moorland and go trout fishing in nearby Loch Swordale. There are also coastal walking trails nearby.

Really nice place, so there were no negatives. It can be windy as people need to know Isle of Lewis is one of the windiest places in the UK. However, it does not get cold in winter as seas are moderated by Gulf Stream.

Excellent property with everything we needed for a great stay,

Very clean and tidy. A lovely neat property very well equipped and owners were extremely helpful and clearly keen to ensure everything was excellent.

Some people might like a tumble dryer, but the laundry drying facilities were fine.

Exceptional stay in a beautiful location and property.

There was absolutely nothing we didn't like. The house had everything we needed for a very comfortable home from home stay and was in an ideal location for exploring Lewis and Harris. The house was very clean and tastefully decorated with all the furnishings to a high standard. A very generous welcome pack. There was excellent communication from the owner, Tracy, from when we booked right up until we were heading for the ferry home where she met us in town with a flask we had left.

There was nothing to dislike.

The house is in a great location situated in a lovely quiet village not too far from town. A beautiful home that was perfect for our family holiday. Extremely helpful and pleasant owners.

House overall was well presented. Communication with host was good. House was clean. Plenty facilities available.

House location is ideal if visiting Lewis on holiday or working in the locale, close to Stronoway and amenities there. Our work location was 40 minutes away and ideally we'd have had something closer to workplace. Saying that we would not rule out returning to book house as it was really good.

Perfect.

Where to begin? Wow! The property is absolutely amazing, and the welcome was both considerate and generous. Tracey was on hand if anything should be needed, and though we had no need to call upon her it was nonetheless reassuring. The accommodation is superbly appointed and extremely well stocked - basically, it’s like you walked into the home you always wanted and everything you’d want/need is there to hand. The beds are comfortable and, when there’s four of you, it helps that there is an en suite in the master bedroom. The situation is also a bonus. Close enough to Stornaway as makes no difference, and thereby as accessible to the main sights as you would want. At the risk of placing it ‘on the map’, and thereby making our own return more difficult, this property should be first on your list.

Good size property, all on one level which was perfect for my partner who has reduced mobility. Good WIFI :) It also has all the facilities you need to make it a perfect stay. Not far from the main town.

Maison spacieuse, au calme avec tout le confort moderne et joliment décorée. Panier de bienvenue bien garni. Les lits étaient faits; des serviettes de bains sont disponibles ; les produits de première nécessité ( sel, café soluble, pain, sucre, beurre, lait, produit de vaisselle, tablettes pour lave-vaisselle ....) sont fournis par les propriétaires. Tout était très propre. Propriétaires aux petits soins qui nous avaient envoyé le descriptif de l'itinéraire du terminal des bateaux jusqu'à la maison par sms.

Juste une terrasse; pas de jardin. Secondaire car la nature n'est pas loin.
