No shampoo in the shower

The hostel is not too big, only a few rooms. This gives a very familiar feel. The staff who welcomed us was super nice. The room itself (red suit, with own bathroom), was specious. Everything was clean, the room itself and the common areas, which included a kitchen. It felt like a lot of people used the hostel as a starting point. We also just stayed 2 nights. Overall a good hostel.

The bed wasn’t in best shape, the leather was already giving up. We had our own balcony but without any chairs, so maybe chairs would we a great add on.

I stayed here on two separate occasions. I was flying onto the Azores and I particularly liked that the accommodation is very central and just 7 mins walk from the Aerobus stops no 3 & 4. Check-in was easy and the member of staff greeted myself and other guests with a glass of Madeira wine. He was very friendly and helpful and gave recommendations and tips.

Had great kitchen facilities

We were unaware that we could not check in past 10PM. We should have checked, the accommodation asked for our check in time 1-2 days before the date. They informed us to book another place for the first night and declined to make changes with our booking. By then we had paid the full night before. Even though we had the place booked for the night before, we needed to check out of the first place, they said the place is not staffed until 2 pm and said they could not facilitate an early check in despite we technically had the room booked under our name. There were only 2 showers and 2 toilets for a hostel of likely more than 10 people so you have to wait and people were impatient
