Location out of this world. Fantastic countryside estate. Cottage beautiful and in a superb location- remote and peaceful. Lots of wildlife, great walking and incredible views. Owner so lovely.
Property a bit tired. Some things not working and a bit dusty

This cottage is absolutely perfect for a peaceful time away. It has everything we needed and the location was fantastic to explore with our dog - we can’t wait to book again
The only thing I’d mention was the road leading to the cottage after the glamping pods needs a bit of work done to it

Location is great for a peaceful holiday, stunning scenery and wildlife. Loved the cottage, well looked after, cosy and warm due to Aga on in kitchen, lashings of hot water.
A welcome pack would have been good, forgot milk had to go back out, extra toilet rolls would be better, sofa bed was very dirty when unfolded it, used single folding bed instead. Mould in shower wasn't nice..

The property was private and surrounded by woodland, exactly what we were looking for. It was beyond glorious to fall to sleep to the sound of the small stream just outside. Inside was so wonderfully warm and cozy. We didn’t want to leave !

An amazing stone cottage in a Brilliant location on a stream. So lovely.
The house was truely dirty. Old food and tissues down the lounge cushions. dog hair on the carpet. Cupboard doors falling apart. We booked for 4. Great bedroom upstairs (perhaps sheets not so clean) but the other couple expected to sleep either on a clapped—out dirty sofa bed or air mattresses. There were 3 plates and two full size towels supplied for 4 people.

I just loved being there. The cottage is situated well inside the estate so it is very peaceful and a real escape from the outside world. The cottage itself is spacious, clean and although it is very much an old country cottage with furniture to complement it, it also has all the mod cons as well. It also has a lovely garden to sit in.
There are so many walks to go on and lovely views to see. The dog had a different adventure every day.
Nothing, for me it was perfect.

Beautifully peaceful location with a natural soundtrack to die for, the bird song and babbling stream help you leave the hussle and bussle of life far behind you. The entire estate is very well managed and the woodlands have a wide variety of tree species. I barely looked at the tv as I spent the day watching the birds chase flies, and bats chasing moths in the evening. The cottage was cosy and homely and the enclosed gardens provided perfect seclusion.
Leaving.

The location mixed with the lovely warm cottage was perfect for this time of year. The river was the perfect background noise in quiet moments, reminding me that I was in the middle of nowhere. There’s plenty of walking trails and I would definitely recommend going to Loch Doon. It’s not far, and it’s like a huge mirror when the waters are calm and the sky is clear. The cottage isn’t far from Culzean Castle as well. Although the castle itself was closed for the winter, walking the grounds was just as nice to do.
I’d love to come back in the summer when all the flowers are in bloom!

A hidden gem of a cottage that couldn’t be more perfect in its location and set up. We loved our few nights stay and it was as idyllic as it looks in the pics, although they do need updating as it’s even nicer in person. Perfect location with or without four legged friends for walks and adventures.
The fire smoke leaks into the house alot. I had seen this on other reviews and hoped it may have been resolved but had not. It didn’t dampen our stay but we only lit the fire on the first night to avoid constant smoke smell. Would have been nice to be able to have it lit every evening.

Location is amazing. House is of good size and we found everything needed there.
Needs new sofa bed as the current one has seen it's good days already. Otherwise perfect ;)

The aga made it lovely and homely, nice and warm, the open fire we really enjoyed, for all it was quite smoky at first, The location was lovely and enjoyed the woods and trees and rivers
The fire did smoke quite a bit, but it was worth it,

I really think the cottage is cute and loved the estate it was on.
The cottage needs to be better appointed. Basic supplies like paper towels in the kitchen or bar of soap in the bathroom would have been helpful. I think the living room area is dark and smells musty. I would clean it out and change carpets and lighten up the room as it is nice space. The road leading to cottage is a mess and should be paved or guests should be warned to have a proper vehicle. Also, guests should be really reminded its a long way from any shops and to come prepared if arriving at night. Just from cottage back to main road is a drive. I would clean out a lot of the decor and make it more friendly for a guest. I felt like it was someone's home I had stumbled into which is awkward. Also wifi etc should be clearly printed out and not left for us to figure out to look on bottom of router (we were tired, it had been a long drive and we had no cell service so really needed the wifi)

Mesmerising ،، It's truly heaven on Earth ، It's divine ، You cannot interact with mother nature anywhere else as you do here ، It's not only the beauty of nature , but also the beauty of the inner soul of Mr. Mark , the owner , Which I truly would like to show my gratitude For his generosity , For his smile And for sharing his estate with the public

Lovely location.
Freezer needed defrosted and emptied of previous guest's food. Would have been nice to have some garden furniture to use outside.

absolutely breathtaking views, location was so private and in the heart of nature, could not ask
for a more perfect cottage, with beautiful scenes from every window.
nothing.

great secluded location. Very comfortable.
The fireplace opening was too big for the fire, causing the smoke to escape into the room. The grating for the fire should be 12-18 inches higher to allow the smoke to go up the chimney. The blackened fire surround indicates this is not a new problem. Also, the kitchen was not as clean as it should have been.

The property itself is stunning. The location is perfect for that get away holiday. Also an extra bonus is the Dark Sky area... Superb.
This is a wonderful place. It just needs a comfortable sofa and bed. A bit of TLC. Then it would be perfect.
