Culzean Castle Country Park (National Trust) has a network of wooded trails passing along the beach. Day trips to Ireland can be taken from Stranraer, whilst a short drive north leads to Ayr, a traditional seaside town. Shop ½ mile, pub 2 miles, restaurant 500 yards.
