Lovely Cottage

Parking insite, close to amenities and town. Relaxing environment.

Bunkbeds in one room that we didn't know about as we thought it was a double. Looks like Booking.com has updated pictures now, so you know what you're getting. There was only 1 set of keys, so it was difficult to coordinate our group.

Perfect place to stay with our family in Stratford upon Avon!

The location was perfect!! Super convenient to all the sites and restaurants. It has the perfect atmosphere and space for our family.

The shades on the bedroom windows could have been darker to keep out the morning light, but I’m especially sensitive to light when I sleep, so for most people it probably would have been okay.

A great base for a exploring all that Stratford upon Avon has to offer.

The location of this property is a great base to explore Stratford upon Avon, so close to restaurants, bars and shops. It's well equipped and the beds are very comfortable.

On the whole the property was very well maintained, however, I felt one thing that needed some attention was the downstairs shower enclosure which needed a thorough deep clean.

Another great stay at this lovely old cottage.

This was our second stay at this lovely cottage and it was, again, wonderful. So quiet, considering its location right in the centre of Stratford, and very comfortable. The garden was lovely to sit out in when the sun made its presence known and the house was warm and comfy when it went in again. It's such a bonus to have a parking space and garden in this location, and makes a massive difference. Abbie is a great host. Hopefully, we'll be coming back again soon!

An absolute gem!

Just amazing. The house is characterful, comfortable, well-equipped and in a fantastic location bang in the heart of Stratford. With a lovely courtyard garden to sit in and a parking space! No-one could ask for more. We found it very quiet even though in a busy street of shops and pubs an opposite the NCP car-park. Virtually no noise at all, despite Shakespeare's birthday celebrations going on! Restaurants, theatre and river about 2 - 3 minutes' walk away. Perfect! Our host's communications were great and it was really good to be called with arrangements for picking up the key. We loved the lovely old cottage.

Very disappointed

Location is perfect

There was no hot water in the downstairs bathroom And the normal things you would hope to find like toilet roll and hand soap No welcome pack or milk there was items behind the bed which should have been cleaned the windows were also dirty and the surrounding frames were dirty Also the parking if you are taking 2 cars there is only 1 space for a car and it’s parking permits The pictures the website are obviously from when the cottage was first rented out but the owners have not kept the up keep of the property which is disappointing

Lovely Cottage is just that, beautiful comfy place to stay in the perfect location to explore.

Beautifully presented, had everything needed for our stay and in a perfect location to explore the old town. Plenty of good food eateries nearby if you don't fancy using the well set up kitchen. Friendly contact from owner who was available locally if assistance was needed.

Absolutely perfect!

The location was brilliant! We were so close to the shops for food and drink, and a very short (a maybe 5 minute walk) to the river and more shops. The beds were incredibly comfortable and we had so much room for all 4 adults.

Possibly the late check in time? But this is understandable with the cleaners having to take time to clean a whole house.

Good location, but lacking in any attention to detail

Good things first, the location is amazing, you’re right in the centre. Very easy to find, great that it has a parking space. Accessing the key etc is all very easy. Nice to have some outside space, with a little table and chairs. The kitchen is adequately equipped.

The house itself is, on the whole, dated and in need of some love. The cleaning leaves a little to be desired, with the downstairs shower screen particularly grubby. There was also what looked to be urine stains on the back of the door in the downstairs loo. Upstairs bathroom clearly has ventilation issues and is suffering from some unsightly water stains on the walls. Absolutely no basics in the kitchen like salt, pepper, or oil, which makes even the most simple meal prep difficult. Kitchen knives hilariously blunt, could barely slice a loaf of bread. There are tea, coffee, and sugar caddies, but no coffee provided. No extras like milk in the fridge. Towels all sad, old, and very “well-used”. Overall just a lack of attention to detail. Given the price, it feels disappointing.

Charming stay in Stratford

The cottage was wonderful. Beautifully decorated and with lovely period features. The location was exceptional and I can't imagine a better location to sta in Stratford to be able to explore on foot. The parking space was a god-send. The cottage also was far bigger in the flesh than the pictures suggest. We had a lovely stay and members of our party are already looking at future bookings.

Clean, comfortable accommodation in central location

The location was perfect for access to shops theatre and boat trips. The parking space was very good because it was offroad. The cottage was charming, clean, well equipped and the two double rooms were very comfortable. Communications with the owner were very good and friendly

The disadvantage of being such a central location was a very noisy pub opposite. Some instructions for heating and wi-fi would be useful. We eventually managed to get the heating on but couldn't work the timer, so we had to switch it on and off manually. We only used the lower one of the bunk beds and the mattress was rather uncomfortable for am adult

Lovely cottage, great central location within easy access to all main attractions and facilities. Great to have protected parking.

Would have been easier to have a key safe at rear, near garage gates. By the time we found that garage was at the back, had to leave car and make our way to the front, it was "clumsy". Also no information about appliances, heating, etc.

Superb

The location was very good, we walked everywhere. It felt roomy for 4 adults, spread over 3 bedrooms. The lounge area was good to relax in. It was clean and comfortable. There was parking for one car. We put a second in Arden St car park, £20 in total for 3 days.

Convenient location but would not necessarily recommend because of parking costs

Location was exceptional, beds very clean and comfortable...appropriate dishes/mugs. Two pleasant pubs within walking distance and a good chipshop. The cottage was very warm ,plenty of hot water .

The cottage was a little unloved , looking and feeling like the rental it was .There was no privacy at the rear as completely overlooked by the multi storey carpark. One parking space only and additional parking was very inconvenient and VERY expensive.The bath towels were tiny and still bore their purchase tags ,as did the lamps in the sitting room.There was a beautiful fireplace but it was empty and contributed towards the general lack of ambience. No welcome pack, not even a drop of milk in the fridge , which was ,by the way ,tiny and couldn't accommodate our foodstuffs
