Lovely set out villa leading straight out to the sea with a conveniently located restaurant next door. The pool was well used and we loved the projector that was provided so the kids could relax and watch some tv (there was a Netflix account already logged in we used). Air conditioning was strong and the outdoor bathrooms were fun.
The bedrooms were clean but the outdoor bathrooms didn’t seem as clean- the bath was full of leaves (more than would be expected following a sweep out) and the toilet seats were too small for the toilets and wobbly.
We were there for 3 nights and after our second night I had a message asking if we wanted the place cleaned which I didn’t see as we had gone out- it therefore wasn’t cleaned which was disappointing as it could have done with one. We had to ask every day for fresh water which was provided once we did but not something you should have to chase.
This didn’t diminish our stay- it was still lovely but the stag could have been more proactive.

La décoration, la piscine privée, la vue, la proximité de petits restos pas chers et sympas… tout en restant un endroit calme. Le prix est très élevé pour le pays mais j’ai passé un moment magique 🙂

The bed was comfortable. The cats and the frog in the shower are cute. The property looks pretty and it is next to the beach - morning walk along the beach is very nice. There is a cafe next door offering food and drinks by the beach and it has fire show sometimes.
It was poorly managed and rundown. When we arrived, the swimming pool was filthy. The bath tub looks dirty and doesn’t quite work. The shower head is full of green stuff. There was no mosquito repellent in the room. I listed my requests and they brought some repellent but ignored about the swimming pool. In the evening, I realise there was no hot water in the shower. I texted the butler but as it has passed 10pm she didn’t reply. I had a cold shower that night and when next day the engineer visited, he showed us the hot water adjustment is actually hidden under the sink - the butler could have easily shown us during the reception but she didn’t. The cafe next door is cute, but they played loud rock and metal music until 1am…. The property is clearly aware of the potential noise but they didn’t even prepare ear plugs…
We had breakfast at the property next morning and when we came back at 4.30pm, the dirty plates were still not taken away and rooms were not cleaned. And the swimming pool is still filthy. I simply cannot tolerate dirty plates sitting in open air in a tropical country for that long. It is a hygiene hazard.
When the engineer came to fix the swimming pool and the hot water in the shower, he didn’t wear any shoes or covers and left dirts all over the room and in the bath tub.
The butler was even reluctant to show her face when we had so many problems. The owner likes to reply in poor review “only if you ask”. But the problem is, guests shouldn’t HAVE to ask when it is hotel 101 level services, especially when your room costs more than Marriott’s. By basic I meant things like keeping your swimming pool clean.
