The real gem of this place are the owners, their hospitality was beyond our expectations

Do not even know where to start describing this place. From the moment we got there the lovely owners greeted us with such a warm welcome (even when there was a misunderstanding with booking). We were seated and offered a nice cold wet towel and orange juices as a complimentary, which was really spot on after a long and tiring day of riding. Even with the mishap in booking they quickly managed to arrange us the sea view suite we had booked, in pristine condition. The suite was located quite up the stairs, but the unit offers an elevator for luggage, and almost immediately after arriving the staff took our backpacks and lifted them with the elevator and brought them to our room. We only had to walk the stairs… amazing. Regarding it was quite late in the evening, we were quite tired to go looking for food. And even without mentioning it, the lovely owner said that they have a restaurant on site. Great! Really convenient way to spent a tiring day relaxing in a tranquil place with amazing view, even more amazing (!!) Thai quisine and the most peaceful atmosphere. Unfortunately due to popularity of this place it was fully booked (which I totally understand taking account all of the things said), and nearby accommodations also with reasonable price, to our surprise, before checking out the lovely owner said that they have a spare room for us if wer wanted to extend our stay a little bit, and that he aknowledged that the accommodations left in the area were really expensive, we were so happy that we had the chance to stay a little bit longer in this utterly beautiful and friendly place with a fraction of a price of other units in the area… If that was not enough, we were were treated with a really generous and tasty breakfast including fresh fruits, english/american brekkie, juices, coffee, even breakfast Thai style, which was all included in the price of the room. Just wow!

Lek, Peter and their team went above and beyond with their service, the quality of accommodation, the local knowledge they passed on and in facilitating trips for us. Nothing was too much trouble. For breakfast they provided a wide variety of local delicacies and western breakfasts. all extremely well prepared and very tasty. The same for the evening meals.

Beautiful place

Very lovely place. Just a few minutes by scooter to Klong Mueang beach - a seriously great beach. The hotel restaurentt is excellent and very reasonably priced for a resort. The breakfasts are part of the stay and are very good. Staff very attentive and friendly.

Nothing really. Only that high season in Southern Thailand is becoming very expensive but by comparison to other higher standard resorts in the locality this is very well priced.

Eight wonderful days at this resort

Our eight days were just what we needed after two months of traveling - beautiful resort, great hosts (Lek and Peter) and staff 🙏, relaxing atmosphere, comfortable and unique villas. just far away enough from the crowds but not too far, some of the best Thai food we've eaten in the past four weeks; I think that about covers it. Highly recommended and I'm hoping to return in the not too distant future.

I didn't like leaving even if Bali was the next stop. Note: this was not an issue for either my wife or me but due to the uniqueness and hillside location of the resort, THERE ARE STAIRS. If you've any mobility issues be sure to discuss with the resort before booking.

Large, quiet space with wonderful hosts and great food

We felt cared for like family with Lek, Peter and their team, from the moment we arrived. The villa itself is spacious and clean, with a big view of the coastline and the surrounding area, large patios to sit outside, an excellent bed, good A/C. It doesn't have a kitchen (there's a fridge, hot water kettle and some utensils) but that ended up mattering little, as Lek's cooking was just superb, and we ate several dinners there in addition to breakfast. They helped us arrange a great boat tour of the islands, gave advice on other activities, and helped graciously whenever we asked. It's a short drive to the beach, which was fine for us.

Nothing. A minor point - the water pressure in one of the spacious showers was a bit low (we just used the other shower).

We had a wonderful stay at this place . From start to finish the hosts Peter and Lek were so welcoming and lovely. The property itself is fabulous with stunning views. Although slightly away from restaurants and the stunning beach of Klong Muang this is part of the charm of the place and easy to get a cheep Grab taxi 5 mins ride to the beach / restaurants etc Leks cooking is fabulous and tempting to stay at the property for all your meals !

Perfect location for a getaway holiday! Superb host, top-quality service, and amazing food!

The villa offers an impeccable panoramic view from its hilltop setting. From forest canopies and mountain ranges to distant islands and the open sea, the scenery is truly breathtaking! The atmosphere is wonderfully serene - just the perfect retreat for a restorative getaway. Its location is ideal for us - about a 15-minute drive from Ao Nang and only 5 minutes from the nearest beach. We especially appreciated that it sits slightly away from the busy tourist areas, allowing us to fully soak in the tranquillity and the beauty of nature. Pete and Lek are exceptional hosts! They’re warm, attentive and incredibly accommodating. We arranged our long-tail boat tours and car rental through them, and everything was handled with efficiency and care. Their attention to detail genuinely elevated our stay! The room itself was spotless, well-equipped and thoughtfully designed. The entire villa area is beautifully decorated with refined taste. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner on-site most days, and every dish was outstanding! Generous portions, fresh ingredients and consistently great presentation. We will truly miss the incredible Thai cuisine we had here! Thank you, Pete and Lek, for an unforgettable experience. We cannot recommend this villa highly enough:)

Not a single thing! The only thing to be aware of is that it’s a bit uphill so you’d need to walk up some stairs to your room. But it’s a good workout for us so we don’t mind it 😆

An amazing stay in Krabi

The location was quite remote, but the views from the hotel were amazing. Peter, his wife, and staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. The food is the best we've tasted in Thailand. Peter organised a scooter for us and had it delivered to the hotel. Would recommend it to anyone visiting Krabi.

Perfect place for peaceful and relaxing vacation.

We enjoyed our stay there very much. It is a perfect place for those who want to be away from big cities, crowded streets, loud noises. The property is approx 20 km away from Krabi airport and Krabi city. The view from balcony was perfect, overlooking nearby forests and the valley (since the property is more on the hillside) and the waterside. Really great hosts! We did 4 island tour that they helped us to book. Great talks. Excellent cocktails :) Food is fresh and very tasty! Really enjoyed the Thai breakfast addition to the fresh fruits. And the pool!!! Since we visited the place right when winter officially started in Thailand (meaning - rain season), we were only guests and really enjoyed the full day by the pool!

We did not want to leave.

The owners and staff are fantastic. We like to be out of the tourist areas but close enough to go if we want. The rooms are large well decorated in traditional Thai. Beds are great. The bar service and Leks awesome cooking make this place very special. The breakfast is fantastic. When back in Thailand this will be the first place we book. If you have health issues or disabilities there are stairs to get to some of the villas just a heads up before you book. Lek arranged a scooter for us that was perfect for getting around. We left feeling like we were leaving family.

The view of the sea and the mountains is fantastic (our villa was the highest in the area). The owners are very hospitable. The breakfast is delicious and varied.

The high location overlooks the freeway, which makes it a little noisy from passing traffic during the day.

Great resort, amazing hosts

This was our favourite stay during our 9 weeks in Thailand. The views, the restaurant, breakfast and swimming pool were amazing. The seating area of the room was comfortable. The area is good with plenty to do and see. It's best to have a car (or scooter) to go to all the sights. We preferred this to staying in Aonang. What made this resort really stood out were the owners Peter and Lek. Their hospitality was incredible. Peter was laidback and fun to talk to. Lek is a great cook and we still miss her cooking! We were sad to leave.

I think we loved everything in Krabi Villa Phu Khao Private Resort. The villa was big, clean and very confortable. The resort is fantastic: the amazing pool, deck and common areas are inviting you to relax. The food was delicious thanks to Lek who is an outstanding cook. Although Lek and Peter will help you to organise your daily trips, note that you will preferably need to rent a car/ motorbike if you regularly want to go out as taxis are quite expensive.

WiFi was not working during our stay in the garden villa. Peter is aware of this issue, I suppose it is settled by now.

Jewel of Krabi

More than the accomodations alone, which are spectacular, the best part of staying at the Villa Phu Khao was our host team, Peter and Lek. Peter is a wonderful guide for western visitors, and helped us immensely with navigating the local area. He is very knowledgeable about both Thailand and the larger region, and knew just what adventures we would be most interested in, also serving as personal transportation any time we needed. Lek is an absolute gem. She is deeply ingrained in the local community, she made us feel a part of it. Not only does Lek do it all- including on the spot repairs for our villa- she is a world class cook. We could have gone out for formal dining experiences elsewhere in Krabi, but frankly we didn't feel the need with Lek right next door! Rumor has it she will even give a lesson in Thai cooking if you're interested ;) I could go on about how lovely our stay was, but words would fall short. When we come to Thailand next, we could not think of another place we would stay. Thank you for an unforgettable stay, Peter and Lek! We cannot wait to see you again.

We didn't have enough time! While the pool and sun deck areas were lovely, our days were much too full of adventure to properly appreciate some of the amenities. Next time we will build in time to sit and read, poolside.

Well presented villa stunning views excellent hosts and great food.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay the villa was spacious, bed large and comfortable with nice balcony overlooking splendid views of tropical forest, mountains and the sea in the distance. Lek and Peter were excellent hosts organised trips, taxis providing invaluable advice on the local area - nothing was too much trouble. We ate in most nights the menu was varied and food excellent and well presented again the bar and restaurant were comfortable with splendid views. Would certainly go back again when in Krabi - well worth a visit.

Every thing about this resort was great. My villa was great very clean very comfortable. The owner lek and husband peter, where great made me feel very welcome. The food was fantastic 😋 the staff were fantastic..the resort was beautiful. 1day was not enough. So I'm staying for a month..would recommend this resort to everyone. I'll be back.

Lovely place to stay

Our room had an amazing view and was beautifully furnished, as is the rest of the resort. The owner, Lek, looked after our every needs and cooked us an amazing dinner (prawns, duck and a whole fish) which was delicious. She also picked us up from the pier and arranged our transfer to Krabi airport, as well as fixing up a massage for both of us. A lovely lady, providing everything a guest needs.

A very relaxing holiday.

The owner/operators of the villas, Peter and Lec, go out of their way to ensure every guest has a great stay. The villas are perched high on a hill with commanding views of the surrounding countryside and ocean. The enormous breakfast included a daily selection of local foods which was an unexpected treat (see photo). We ate many lunches and dinners here as Lec is a great cook, using quality fresh produce and will personalise your meal.

One of the best places we've stayed at

One of the best places we've stayed at and definately the most comfy one. I really loved the attention to details, the place was made with care and love and that's an amazing feeling. I loved absolutely everything there :) The villa corresponds to pictures here and i can sign under every positive review as well. We were kindly welcomed, the design of the compound is very beautiful, with a lot of plants and flowers, and the view from our terrace was just gorgeous. When i first saw it i thought "Why the hell should we ever leave this place?" and then i was just admiring it every morning and evening. Our ocean view villa was small but cozy. Most of all i loved the bed - soft like a cloud. Everything is clean and well cared for. I loved the bed linen and towels - always fresh and smelled wonderful. Cleaning was made every day and very fast. We went down to have breakfast, came back - everything was already nice and tidy :) that was very pleasant. The territory and the pool are also very clean and well maintained. There are some sunbeds with soft matrasses and pillows... sooo comfy! The food! I've gained a few kilos. Breakfast is plentiful and various. Actually you get two breakfasts - one thai style and other you can order from the menu - a lot of options. We had our lunch and dinner at the villa as well since the atmosphere and surroundings were really nice and the hostess is a talented cook, i certanly recommend to try her dishes. All the personel at the villa were nice and helpful, the owners - Peter and Lek (hope i've written the names correctly, forgive me if not and feel free to correct) - are the most kind and sweet people, we enjoyed their company and hospitality very much even though we are awfully socially awkward people. We had help with everything we needed and more. Also it was very interesting experience to meet a person from Australia :)

Just something to take into account choosing one of the available accomodations: ocean view and mountain view villas are located high enough - quite a few steps to climb up and down every day. It wasn't a problem for us, but may be for older people or someone with bad knees. I did not like the beaches. But that's only me. They are clean, both the sand and the water, and there are a few around the villa (you'll need a vehicle to get to any of them, but the view from the villa more than compensates that's, in my opinion the location is good) - more crowded Ao Nang and more wild Klong Muang and Tub Kaek. Sand at Klong Muang is the best - white, soft and fine like flour - but there is a lot of stones in the water. I just liked the beaches of the islands better that's all :) Or maybe i did not like the beaches because staying at the villa near the pool was so much nicer and more comfortable.

Erholsame Tage in einer schönen kleinen privaten Hotelanlage

Sehr freundliches Inhaberpaar und Personal, sehr gutes Frühstück und Dinner. Sehr großzügiges Zimmer mit Panoramablick auf den vorgelagerten Wald und seitlich zum Meer. Ruhige Lage, man bekommt nichts vom Massentourismus andernorts mit. Wir hatten einen Mietwagen und waren dadurch auch mobil.

Laut, geizig, überteuert, marode und abgelegen

Gefallen hat uns nur die Aussicht. Alles andere war sehr unterdurchschnittlich.

Wir haben über 3.000 Bath pro Nacht (5 Nächte) bezahlt und bekamen das: Der Lärm der vierspurigen Schnellstraße kommt Tag und Nacht ungehindert von Gebäuden oder Bäumen den Hügel hinauf direkt in die Zimmer, extrem unromantisch. Das Frühstück war ein Witz: Eine winzige Schüssel mit einem knappen Esslöffel Haferflocken und etwas Obst war das Müsli-Set. Auf die Frage, ob ich wenigstens noch ein Ei mit Toastbrot bekommen könnte, wurde gesagt, dass jeder nur ein "Set" erhält. Extrem geizig! Das Zimmer "Ocian View" (>3000 Bath) war marode: die Duschtür ließ sich nicht richtig schließen, der "Kleiderschrank" war aus einem 40 cm Kühlschrank hässlich selbstgebaut und hatte eine lichte Höhe von nur 45 cm, so dass man nichts zum Lüften reinhängen konnte, ohne das es zur Hälfte auf dem Boden lag. Auf die Frage, wo wir etwas hinhängen können, wurde gesagt, daß wir alles im Koffer lassen sollten. Das Schloss zur Zimmertür war defekt, die Gardinenleiste hatte keinen Abschluss, so dass die Holzgardiene aus der Schiene rutschte. Mehrmals versagte die Wasserpumpe, so dass man runtersteigen musste, damit jemand mit dem Gartenschlauch die Luft aus der Pumpe entfernte. Das Bett war sehr schmal und wackelig, so dass man bei der kleinsten Bewegung des Partners geweckt wurde. Als nach 3 Tagen immer noch keine Handtücher gewechselt wurden, mussten wir mehrmals darum bitten. Selbiges bei Duschgel. Die Lage war trotz des Höllenlärmes der Straße weit abgelegen: kein 7/11, keine Massage, nichts, nur ein Restaurant, jedoch das noch näher am Lärm, da direkt an der Straße. Ohne Motorrad geht nichts. Es geht dem Betreiber offensichtlich nur darum, möglichst viel aus den Gästen herauszupressen und möglichst nichts zu investieren, erst recht nichts ins Frühstück. Wir reisen seit über 30 Jahren durch Thailand und können beurteilen, was man üblicherweise für 3.000 Bath bekommt.

Le bruit incessant de la route en contrebas qui nous a obligé à vivre nuit et jour avec des bouchons d'oreilles et qui ne nous a pas permis de profiter de la terrasse et de sa vue magnifique. C'est pour cette raison que je n'ai pas mis 10. Les voisins bruyants (TV à fond sous nos fenêtres jusqu'à tard dans la nuit) Les marches pour accéder à la chambre.... mais on le savait.... La salle de bains qui aurait besoin d'un bon rafraîchissement

Tre notti in un luogo affascinante

L'accoglienza, la disponibilità, la vista, la colazione, i pasti, in generale, cucinano benissimo. La possibilità, pagando una cifra irrisoria, di affittare una stanza, dopo il check out, per i bagagli e doccia dopo la giornata al mare, prima di prendere il volo di ritorno.

Può essere un problema "affrontare" le numerose scale per raggiungere le stanze. Ma solo per chi ha mobilità ridotta.

Perfecte plek in Krabi om echt te ontspannen

Na een aantal drukke reisdagen besloten we hier tot rust te komen. Dat is heel goed gelukt! Het is een prachtig rustige plek, Peter en Lek zijn heel gastvrij en de rest van het personeel is ook super lief en probeert je een geweldige tijd te bezorgen. We kunnen de reviews beamen over dat we bijna nergens zo lekker hebben gegeten als hier. Zelfs nog op verzoek iets gemaakt wat niet op de kaart stond. Het ontbijt was ook heerlijk en heel uitgebreid. Wat betreft de kamer ook genoten: veel ruimte en een heel comfortabel bed.

Wifi deed het niet op onze kamer, maar wifi bij het zwembad / restaurant gedeelte was wel goed.

Lek, Peter und ihr familiäres Team waren hervorragende Gastgeber. Herzlich und hilfsbereit erfüllten Sie jeden Wunsch. Pool und Anlage liebevoll angelegt und gepflegt. Wirklich ein kleines Paradies. Bungalow „ Mountain View“ hatte super Aussicht auf Meer und Berge. Frühstück vielseitig mit frischen Obst aus eigenem Anbau. Richtig guter Filterkaffee! Roller unverzichtbar aber in der Unterkunft günstig mietbar. Gerne wieder…..

Einfach zum abschalten und genießen

Was soll ich sagen, es war alles bestens. Die Eigentümer Lek und Peter sowie das gesamte Personal waren sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit, aufmerksam und nett.Wir waren leider nur 3 Nächte, wären lieber länger geblieben. Еда в ресторане на ужин была одной из самых, если не самой хорошей, в нашем путешествии. При этом за разумные деньги. Красивый вид из номера на рассвет (на море). На территории много посаженых растений, за которыми тщательно следят. Прекрасные кот и кошка. Глубокий бассейн с трамплином. Доброжелательный персонал. Великолепный стиль самих вилл (все в дереве). Хорошее расположение. Близко к морю. Тихо. Парковка удобная.

Договорились продлить номер на одну ночь (нужные даты показали в приложении Booking), нам сообщили цену и сказали, что можно оплатить при выселении, как мы и решили сделать. Дополнительно предоставили скидку около 15%. В день выселения персонал был удивлён, что мы выселяемся, так как думали, что мы останемся ещё на одну ночь. Все вещи были собраны и мы были готовы выехать, но в номере неожиданно началась уборка, из-за которой на ресепшен мы смогли быть только в 11:10. На ресепшене никого не было, так как сотрудники уехали, оставив прямо там все вещи мы вернулись через один час. Вернувшись, с нас потребовали оплатить поздний выезд равный половине цены за ночь. В итоге, после долгих споров нам отменили скидку, о которой договорись ранее. Выглядело, на первый взгляд, как попытка обмана, но в итоге, думаю, что возникло недопонимание. Если бы не данная ситуация, думаю, можно было бы закрыть глаза на другие минусы. Прозрачные двери в уборную, прозрачные окна в душе (без возможности закрыть их) не добавляют комфорта, особенно ночью с включённым светом, учитывая, что персонал и другие люди хотят рядом с номерами. Слабый напор воды, забитый слив в душе, водогрей не работал. По многим моментам требовалось бы удалить больше внимания. Для нас первый этаж улучшенной виллы отказался бесполезным, там нет кондиционера (жарко и душно), приходиться постоянно спускаться и подниматься. Выдают лишь один ключ, при выходе из номера холодильник и кондиционер выключаются. Выезд не как у всех, а в 11 утра.
