Lovely peaceful family stay

Beautiful setting with cliff view behind, peaceful retreat, super friendly staff, nie restaurants away from hustle bustle in immediate area. 2 bedroom villa great space. Laundry service without need to take it anywhere else for 60bht / kg, drop off by 10 and get back by 8pm. Free shuttle multiple times per day to front.

Air con in bedroom wasnt totally working. Bathroom area could do with re seal and deep clean. Renovation to remove dark wood would be great like some other comments.

Cute staff, cute location

It’s a beautiful location with exceptionally friendly staff. They were so helpful, kind, and really made the stay special. Also nice: there’s a lot of good restaurants in the street and it’s a more quiet area in busy Ao Nang.

The lighting in the room is a bit harsh. It’s either dark, or bright white light. That could be improved.

The pool is beautiful and the staff are SO friendly. They couldn’t do enough to help. There is a free shuttle to the beach and the area is lovely. Watch out for the monkeys!!

Comfortable, clean and enviting staff!

We are 55 and 61 years old and enjoy having plenty of options for dinner and drinks in eve, but NOT the hustle, bustle nightlife party scene - The Scene at Cliff view is a close enough walk to that if it’s what you are looking for or access to beach / longtail boat launch, but plenty enough away to be quiet and peaceful to sit by pool during day or sleep at night without that closer to beach. We enjoyed 11/1 Thaifood Cafe and Pizza Glur on the mainstreet near hotel.

Wonderful! A must stay!!!

The grounds are stunning. The photos don’t even do it justice believe it or not. The staff were extremely accommodating and so friendly. We loved it here.

Not much we didn’t like. It was terrific. If I had to say anything, the beds in one of the rooms was uncomfortable but honestly, it was so great that any negatives were easily overlooked.

Lovely peaceful location, great hotel

Fantastic location a little away from things, so really peaceful and relaxing. We had a lovely two bedroom room right next to the pool. Rooms were large and we had a kitchen and living room area. The food was very good and breakfast was lovely. Hotel staff were excellent!

The pool gets warm in the afternoon due to the cliffs blocking the sun, but still lovely.

Uninspiring

This is a nice, fairly new resort hotel with accommodation in bungalows lining the swimming pool. It is 2.3km from the beach and there are a few local shops and restaurants nearby. The king sized bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. Snacks and soft drinks were provided free of charge. The complementary foot massage we got for being long stay guests was at a very nice spa, and we were taken there and back by the hotel taxi. The food in the restaurant was good.

The bungalow was in a line of others by the poo,l but it felt a bit like sitting in a corridor if one sat outside. Inside had very little space for two persons to put luggage, and it was almost impossible to unpack as there wasn't much storage space. Some of it could only be accessed if you were over seven feet tall! The bathroom was ok but hardly anywhere to put toiletries. The number of towels we got also varied from day to day - sometimes two; sometimes four. Mainly, the place had no atmosphere. We left early even though we couldn't get a refund. It was worth it.

Nice hotel out of the way of the busy high street.

Great location at the top of Aonang, so about a mile walk to the beach and away from the busy high street. Clean rooms and super comfy beds and pillows.

Breakfast probably not the best we’ve had on this trip. Also the pool didn’t open until 9am and so early morning pre breakfast swim not available. Pool was nice though.

Beautiful location and kind staff, but room and facilities need improvement

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is great — close to everything but still quiet and peaceful, with a beautiful view. Breakfast was decent.

We booked a two-bedroom unit, but it was quite small and felt cramped for four people. The mattress was hard. There were construction works right in front of our room, which made it impossible to rest in the afternoon — we only found out about it when we arrived, as there was a letter waiting for us in the room. The gym was small and outdated; the only dumbbells available actually came apart in my hands, so I had to stop my workout and couldn’t use the gym during the rest of our stay.

The best stay in Ao Nang

Everything was perfect! We loved the outdoor area and the room as well. The food from the restaurant was delicious and the breakfast very complete. The staff was the highlight of this stay, so polite and attentive, definitely enhancing our experience. We loved the cats as well!!

The bed was a bit hard for me. A bit far from the beach if you want to walk, but we knew that before booking.

Sitting by the pool each morning can just refresh your soul

The property is around a 3-4 minute walk from the main Ao Nang beach road, set back from all the bustle and noise. If you want a serene, relaxing place to stay, this is the perfect place. We chose a 2 room pool access villa. I have a mobility problem and was worried that there would be too many steps. But these villas are accessed from the rear where there is a ramp running right along the villas. In fact, there are ramps right from the entrance so I had no problems accessing anything except the restaurant which is on the second floor. All the walkways are paved with non slippery material which was good since it was raining every day that we were there. The staff are so friendly and eager to help….probably the best we’ve experienced at any place that we have stayed at. Each room has a hair dryer fixed near the mirror which was a convenient touch. The free WiFi was easy to connect to and very fast.

The bedrooms in the villas are a little small, so our suitcases didn’t fit inside the cupboards. The bathroom has an instant water heater so the water temperature kept fluctuating during a shower. Small inconveniences in an otherwise perfect stay

It was good, but did not exceed expectations.

Location of the hotel is good, quite convenient to go to the beach and to the pier. It is bit far from the main city/town or airport (about 45 minutes by car) but that is fine since most of the attractions are near the beach. The services were good and cleanlinees was maintained.

The breakfast was not good, very limited options and very oily, the only survival option was eggs and bread. Coffee was also very bad, it was from a machine with multiple options but all were super dilute. We would recommend to find breakfast outside if you have not opted for one, outside there are many good cafés which open at 7 or 9 am.

Like a warm hug

The hotel has great facilities, but what truly makes a hotel exceptional is the staff — the kind that makes guests feel at ease and at home. Scene Cliff Villas does a remarkable job in that respect, thanks to their outstanding team. The hotel is also beautifully tucked below the mountains, making it incredibly quiet and serene, yet it's just 10 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The beds were quite firm, but that was consistent with our experience throughout Thailand.

A nice hotel with beautiful scenery

Loved the scenery of this hotel. The small houses and the pool area with the cliff look amazing. The staff was super friendly and polite. The hotel has shuttle service to the center.

Breakfast could be improved. Poached eggs were not good and they were served on a soaked bread. The facilities could be maintained more. Beach towels were left outside - it looked a little messy and the towels got wet with rain. The room could've also been a little more cosy (add more warm light, for example).

Our stay was nice, but I wouldn't book it again. It costs too much for what you get.

The pool was awesome for out child (3y/o). She loved it. The staff was very nice and kind, and the rooms were clean. The are is quiet and there were some nice restaurants nearby.

The bedrooms were too small. There was too little space for our clothes and items. The whole area smelled like weed most of the time. Breakfast was not good. We ate there once and were happy we didn't book it.

Superb

Beautiful 2 bedroomed villas were clean, comfortable and with swim up rooms from a lovely pool. Decent breakfast and friendly staff. Quiet location with a shuttle service to the beach, 5 minutes tuk tuk ride away. Beach bags and towels provided and changed when required.

Not enough sun loungers. We had to take from another villa which was empty. This wasn't an issue but could be problematic if the hotel is fully accommodated. Hotel needs to put more emphasis on pool times as some guests felt it was acceptable to jump about at midnight in the pool and also have loud mobile phone conversations at 7am outside (rather than inside their own villa) for other guests to be woken up by. I appreciate this isn't the hotels fault and some people just have no consideration, self awareness or respect for others unfortunately.

Beautiful Location Away From The Crowds

A 30 min walk down to the beach and the centre of Ao Nang, which for us was perfect. Keeps you away from the hustle and bustle (it does get very busy) but near enough to walk to if you want. The hotel offers a shuttle at set times also. Lovely hotel with excellent, friendly staff and fab breakfast (will do a breakfast box if you have an early start). Some excellent restaurants within 5/10 mins which are cheaper than the beachfront ones and less busy.

Pool can get rather noisy if there are several families staying - for this reason I’d avoid the pool access rooms as they are VERY close to the pool. Taxis through the reception desk were very expensive. Walk up to the main road instead where they’ll be much cheaper.

Excellent well kept property, out of the way of the madness of Ao Nang.

The property was immaculate, a really beautiful villa to stay in. We loved the room opening up onto the pool, this was perfect with children. rooms were comfortable and spacious. The walk into town was a good 25minutes, but there was also a shuttle service every couple of hours and if you needed one outside of these times it was only 100THB. The staff were wonderful and couldn’t have done enough for you, always checking everything was ok and if we needed them. Excellent breakfast, a lot of choice. Lunch and evening menu a little limited but so many restaurants near by it didn’t matter. Ao nang was not our favourite though… extremely built up resort. Beach over run, graffiti and debris everywhere. Good for shopping but for nice beach go elsewhere.

A little explanation about the facilities a cable would have been better. There was apparently a kids club, gym, spa but weren’t told about any of it or any info in rooms about what was available either.

Great quiet place to stay in Ao Nang

Wonderful quiet place with fabulous staff, always ready to help you out with whatever you need - cheerfully and professionally. Rooms (sitting room with separate bedroom) are spacious and it is great to have the wonderful pool right outside your door! While the location is a ways from the beach it was a quick tuk-tuk ride away and the staff was always ready to cheerfully take you there! And the view of the rock behind the hotel was great!

Sometimes a not so great sewer smell in bathroom, but I think this is a problem throughout the Krabi area.
