B&B Le Clos des Cigales

The owner of the bnb is very kind and welcoming. The place is not far from the city centre by car. The breakfast is excellent.

Lovely private patio areas for breakfast in our own space. Very friendly and helpful owner. Safe and secure parking.

Fridge was not very efficient.

Wonderful host who had considered all the details, drinks in the fridge, a picnic basket, a lovely patio area, excellent air conditioner located so that it didn’t blow in your face. Really everything - great breakfast.

Wished I had planned to stay longer! The host was very welcoming, and very accommodating of my poor French. A lovely garden setting for breakfast, with birds twittering, et le chant des cigales in the background. Accommodation is a 10 min bike ride from the town centre and all its delights - restaurants, shops, boat port and beach - and a 10 min walk to the train station that enabled an easy trip to Marseille. It was very nice to have a bike available - made trips into town very easy, without the hassle of finding a park in the very busy town centre. Room was well provisioned. Wifi worked a treat. Breakfasts were a nice start to the days.

Can't think of any issues. I was very happy I chose Le Clos des Cigales and hopefully I can stay longer next time.

It feels like a slice of paradise. Each room ahas a little private courtyard and it is just the best to enjoy the cigales and its greenery after a day of kayaking (or anything else!) The breakfast is heavenly. The A/C works great and in any case the room is cool thanks to its thick brick walls. The host is extremely friendly.

Le Clos is a lovely enclosure with beautiful oleanders, patios and typical Provençale features. Madame was exceptional, always making our stay enjoyable. Merci beaucoup!

Spacious room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, lovely private terrace outside the room, delicious fresh breakfast, safe and free parking, Evelyne is a very kind and helpful host. One of the nicest B&B’s we have stayed in and easily a place you could stay for more than a week as it feels homey with perfect privacy. Some people comment about outside town location, we think it is an advantage as you don’t have to worry about paid parking in town and when you go for dinner or lunch to Cassis parking is really not that expensive, cheaper than most European towns. We stayed in June and parking in town was really easy. And if you don’t have a car you can take the bus from almost in front of the B&B. Just need to get a taxi back after dinner as last bus back leaves 20:10. We did manage to get an Uber and there are normal taxis.

There is nothing we did not like, just one thing to remember, in France you do not always get shower soap/shampoo in a B&B so that is the only thing you may miss

Design and the decoration.

At this little B&B we had a private entrance to our room, with it's own seating area and outside table for breakfast when weather permits. The owners collection of parakeets and tortoises add extra interest and the hens supplied our breakfast eggs. Breakfast was very good and the owner very kind and helpful. We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and pretty garden.

The house is on the outskirts of Cassis but is close to a bus stop - fine during the day but you would need to walk (approx. 30 mins.) or drive in the evening. Parking is expensive in Cassis - and finding a place to park in the season or at weekends is difficult. We didn't find it a problem, but others might. The elderly or infirm might find the slightly awkward steps outside the property difficult.

Such a sweet host that made our stay so great - amazing breakfast and such a pretty environment- highly recommend this place !!

L'hôtesse est charmante, très à l'écoute. Les petits déjeuners sont parfaits, copieux, avec du fait maison en partie...le cadre est charmant, très agréable jardin et l'on peut garer la voiture sur le parking du jardin, c'est appréciable. Le gîte est décoré avec goût, c'est agréable. Je recommande vivement cet endroit.....

Colazione ottima, ampia e variegata, servita in giardino in un’atmosfera bellissima. La padrona di casa squisita. Consigliatissimo !!

Alles war einfach wunderschön! Das große Garten ist sehr einladend und voller Büsche, Sträucher und blühender Pflanzen, biete Schatten und Sonne. Man kann gemütlich draußen beim Gezwitscher von Sittichen, die in einer Voliere flattern, an einem Tischchen frühstücken und entspannen und sogar eine Glasveranda mit einem großen Tisch und Stühlen nutzen, selbst Gläser, Teller und Besteck gibt es, wenn man sich abends ein kelines Essen zubereiten möchte. Das Zimmer ist stilvoll eingerichtet und nett dekoriert, es gibt einen Kühlschranke und Wasserkocher. Das Bad hat eine sehr komfortable Regenwalddusche. Madame Evelyn ist eine aufmerksame und warmherzige Gastgeberin und Tierliebhaberin. Ihre beiden Katzen haben das Urlaubsfeeling perfekt gemacht! Das Auto steht sicher auf dem mit einem Tor verschlossenen Anwesen, die Bushaltestelle ist nur zwei Minuten entfernt, sodass man ohne Parkplatzsorgen in den drei Mal stündlch nach Cassis hinunterfahrenden Bus steigen kann. Wir werden auf jeden Fall in diese sehr schöne Unterkunft wiederkommen!
