After initial frustration my stay was lovely
Very cosy little cottage…. Very quiet…. Comfy bed… very clean…. Loved the log fire and supplied logs etc… enough for my 3 days….reasonably priced…. Very convenient for Skipton centre and canal
Lack of communication to collect key….. tried ringing the mobile numbers and left messages all the day before booking …. Ended up ringing Cottages.com at 9 pm who gave me their landline number and everything was sorted but was very frustrating…… No welcome pack …. Those little niceties make all the difference…. Not even any milk

After a bumpy start we had an absolutely brilliant stay
Fantastic peaceful location in the heart of Skipton. Couldn't be better
I used theBooking.com communication 'contact your host'. We eventually did speak to her and she did not receive either message 1. Saying we would arrive between 4 and 5 (sent at time of booking), 2. updating this information (24 h before arrival) to say we would be there at 6pm. It took an hour to enter the property, several phone calls with the management agent. On hold twice for 10min + waiting to speak with someone. Agents were helpful. We were looking for alternative hotel rooms by the time we got the message where to find the key. No exterior light didn't help. Property details in house had a different mobile for landlord.
