1 Rock Cottage - Beautifully Presented Cottage for Four with Wood Burner

We had a great time, loved the cottage and the views in particular. Dittisham is a beautiful village. We did find that the storage heaters didn’t quite warm the cottage up enough without using the stove. We would definitely visit again

We enjoyed our stay. We have no complaints. Our two Poles liked the Boleslawiec pottery. We would be delighted to come again. We would recommend the property to anyone (unless they have a problem with stairs). We would be pleased to make a few suggestions to the owners to make it even more welcoming.

It is not that we didn't like things. Everything was great, We just want to make a few suggestions to the owners to make it even more welcoming. 1) The key location description. (a) Maybe clarify that it is across the road. (b) "Woodshed" fooled us at first. More of a small open lean-to immediately on the right. We looked in the one at the other end of the plot! 2) Some of the kitchen units have a damp aroma within. I lived in a similar property so I know the problem. Maybe more ventilation in each would help? 3) Refuse disposal. Every council has their own way! Maybe clarify what is to go, and not go, into each of the indoor containers. Have the same number of indoor containers as in the instructions (four?). Explain why there are only two bins outside. 4) Provide something for wiping worktops - "J cloth" or similar? We were unable to find any.

The location was great. Beautiful view. And front bedroom was warm and cosy.

The hot water wasn’t good. It really only heated to luke warm. The wood burner wasn’t efficient and with the main heater out it wasn’t very warm at all downstairs. Need more pillows otherwise you can’t sit up in bed. Should have a welcome light outside the property for late arrivals.
