Barnfield - Beautiful Barn, River views, Close to Quay

Spacious, clean and such a lovely setting.

The roads getting to the property were a little taxing!

We had everything we wanted and very quiet

Heating was not working when we arrived and not fixed till Thursday evening

Very comfortable stay. Beautiful views just a small walk away.

The property is a good size and the kitchen is fairly new. Beds are very comfortable

When we arrived on Sunday the patio outside the bedroom window was full of weeds and over grown. However, it was cleared by the time we arrived back Wednesday evening. I think it should have been cleared before we arrived. The electric shower in the ensuite is useless you have to chase the drops of water around. Also the bath plug is broken so you cannot bath, very disappointed children. The floor tiles in the other shower room need repairing..The inside of the woodrobe of the main bedroom is filthy at floor level. It is an upside down design the floor on the living area on the first floor is covered in vinyl and there is no sound insulation. When you are on the ground floor any movement upstairs is extremely noisey and at times when the children are playing feels like they will come through. Also the bedrooms were dark ⁰Outside needs some maintenance and the outside table and 2 chairs were still dirty from the winter. Location is lovely on a warm sunny day but wet and windy nothing to do. You then need to take to the car out the roads are narrow and busy so takes you a long time to go anywhere. Not many places to eat if that is what you want. This definitely had a holiday let feel no warmth or cosiness. We stay away a lot and prefer a property that welcomes you this did not do it for us but I'm sure it will suit others Make sure you read the manual lots of Instructions. I am sure this property would suit some people but it did nothing for us
