Clean and stylish location with fun and elevated central location

We liked sitting at the kitchen table by the open window watching the swifts fly by at eye level. We liked the fresh baguettes we got from 4 mins away that were so much tastier than the English baguettes. We liked the loft bedroom looking out over the rooves and hearing the rain at night though the open window. The central location was lovely too as we were in the middle of things but above the bustle. We were so lucky as there were bands in the high street the first weekend and a medieval festival the second and both were great fun.

Nothing you could have fixed but I forgot my husband was 6 foot and he hit his head on the beams quite a bit but we still had a wonderful time.

Perfect, quaint apartment in the excellent location for exploring D Day beaches and for enjoying Bayeux too.

Perfect location in centre of Bayeux.. 3 mins walk to Cathedral surrounded by local shops. Easy drive to all D Day beaches. Very well equipped apartment and has everything we needed for a family of 3. Loved the quaintness of the split levels. Peaceful at night too.

Shame toilet was not on same level as bedroom as a little hairy nipping down the spiral staircase in the middle if the night. But overall not a huge issue

We are both tall so we had to do a decent bit of ducking and hunching over to avoid low beams and doorframes throughout the unit. Additionally, the staircase is narrow so anyone with accessibility difficulties will be challenged.

Enjoyed our visit to Bayeux, but the apartment needs some upgrades to become a 5 Star quality rental

The apartment is beautiful, spread out over 2 floors. Furnished simply but very well done. The location was in the center of town, and it was easy to walk to all major sights. Bayeux is a gorgeous medieval town, most buildings saved from the bombings of WWII. Location was within short drives of the beaches, cemeteries, museums dedicated to WWII.

Apartment was under stocked, it lacked bath towels, soaps, bath mats, kitchen towels, pillows. The stairs were very tough to manage, especially with luggage or groceries. It was extremely noisy…..voices could easily be heard from neighbors, and on one night a party went on till 3 am. Free parking was NOT easy……most lots were pay lots, free street parking was almost non existent. It would have been nice to have written instructions to operate wash machine, radiators, etc. and to have them English as well as French.

inflexible late checkin from 5pm no bed linen left out for sofa bed (which was squeaky and uncomfortable) no fans or air cooling (in an extreme weather warning heatwave!) layout is impractical- rooms accessed off a very tight spiral staircase, unsuitable for very young or old. you will bump your head repeatedly as beams doors are very low.

Superb

Location is amazing, right in the centre of town. Free parking very nearby - on our final night we got a spot right opposite, which was handy for packing the car on departure. Well equipped kitchen, including excellent espresso machine and toaster. Lovely apartment with great facilities and tasteful decor.

As other reviews make clear, access involves a number of stairs, and then there are more stairs between each room due to the split level layout. The beams etc in loft rooms also require your attention!

the location was excellent, and the apartment was very stylish and well equipped.

The stairs are not for the fainthearted! The apartment is over 3 floors with a room on each floor accessed by the very step open plan spiral staircase. Its a bit like a lighthouse. And the loo is on a different floor to the bedroom.

the property was brilliantly located, had all of the amenities needed for a much longer stay than mine, and was immaculately clean. i would certainly stay again when returning to Bayeux.

Enjoyed Bayeux and the apartment was in an excellent location.

Excellent conversion within a very old building. Quality fitments and furniture all tastefully done. Location was excellent being within the main tourist area.

The stairs were not the easiest to circumnavigate initially...one does need full mobility and with the apartment essentially being on four levels they are used a lot, so care was needed. The Wi-fi was inoperable for the duration of our stay but this was the responsibility of the tele-coms specialists.

You need to know it is ip three flights of stairs, 44 steps of a narrow circular steircase. There are two bathrooms, and the only one with the toilet is down a narrow staircase from the bedroom. Some of the doors have low clearance, 5 1/2 feet or less.

Nicely renovated en big apartment in the center of Bayeux. Free parking spot nearby, even as a bakery and restaurants. Thereby the apartment was very complete, everything you need is there.

Upstairs the ceilings are a bit low and the couch is not comfortable. Thereby a curtain for the bathroomwindow would be nice:)

Très atypique !

Très bien placé, personnel très agréable et réactif L'appartement est très propre et à proximité de tout les commerces ainsi que de la magnifique cathédrale de Bayeux.

Comme son nom l'indique ce Duplex est atypique, c'est une tour dans laquelle chaque pièce est reliée par un escalier en colimaçon. Alors oui c'est très jolie, mais non si vous n'êtes plus tout jeune , si vous avez des enfants en bas âges ou simplement les genoux capricieux.
