We didn't have breakfast, but dinner was excellent.
Very helpful and well trained staff.
Only downside is parking not on site.

When we arrived we were welcomed and nothing was to much trouble
The buffet Breakfast was adequate the room was satisfactory
A small table to eat breakfast
The noise in the kitchen was quite loud late at night
The shower was very poor no water pressure

The staff were incredible! We were an hour late to check in due to doing the ghost tour in Edinburgh centre and they rang us to make sure we were ok, also incredibly accommodating when we arrived.

Charming pub in a charming village. The staff were all attentive and pleasant. They called to check when we’d be arriving and to see if we’d want to eat in the restaurant ahead of it closing for the evening.
The room we were in was opposite the pub’s kitchen. The kitchen door was open and the sound of music and the kitchen carried into our room. There really wasn’t any sound insulation at all so you couldn’t relax should you want to. The skirting in the room was in need of a good dusting too. They serve a “grab and go” breakfast, which is a nice idea, though the pastries sit overnight in clingfilm and tasted of plastic come morning.
