Edinburgh Home from Home

Steve, onze gastheer was heel vriendelijk. De bedden en badkamer waren fijn. Op de kamer koffie, thee, water en snacks. Lekker gegeten in de pub (bijna) om de hoek op aanraden van Steve. Zijn 2 honden zijn heel enthousiast en begroeten je graag. Fijne plek.

Steve ist ein sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Das Frühstück war super. Die Lage ist sehr gut um mit dem Zug oder Bus nach Edinburgh zu fahren.

The host Steve was brilliant. Lovely guy, very chatty, even took me to the concert for a reduced fee. Location was very quiet and had mountain views from the bedroom. Due to the dislikes, Steve was reason my score was a 7.

Noise in bedroom that I thought was radiator, but Steve said would've been the fridge. It gurgled every 20 mins or so throughout the night so my sleep was affected. If staying here, advisable to turn this off before going to bed. Single bed I slept in was very soft too, so not great. Although breakfast was great, I should've asked for toast (or porridge) to be done aftwards as having all served together, the porridge was great, but eggs on toast was cold.

The breakfast was great. The room was clean and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and happy to share information about things to do and places to eat in the area.

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and we appreciated their hospitality. However, we felt the accommodation was quite overpriced for what was offered. Of the six places we stayed during our trip, this was the most expensive, yet it provided the smallest space and had a shared bathroom. While our experience with the hosts was positive, we didn’t feel the accommodation offered good value for the price.
