Helpful and friendly, decent breakfast with delicious fresh bread. Good location away from the main road but still within a short walk of a variety of restaurants and other services. Good pool.

The room was simple but spacious, with a table and two chairs, and the bathroom was also a good size. The view from the accommodation was lovely, and the river was only about a one-minute walk away. The town itself is about a 15–20 minute walk away, with a scooter, it only took about 5 minutes to reach the town. Breakfast was simple (1 dish and 1 drink, no fruit.) On the day of our departure we were given a plate of fruit, which was a nice gesture.

The room, and especially the bed, were very damp, which made it uncomfortable to sleep because the sheets felt wet. We ended up using our own sleeping bags. It was raining when we arrived, so we are not sure if that contributed to the dampness, but it did not improve during the three days of our stay even when we let the fan running the whole night. The shower had very weak water pressure, and barely any water came out. For example, I couldn’t wash my long hair, as it would take forever to rinse out shampoo. Every night we could hear rats running between the roof and the ceiling, and also near the rubbish bin close to the eating area. The noise was quite disturbing, as it sounded as if they were inside the room. The room was not spotlessly clean when we arrived, there was dirt on the tablecloth and on the floor, even though the room seemed to have been cleaned just before our arrival (the bathroom and floor were still wet). The towels were old and stained, although they had been washed. Compared to other homestays and places we stayed during our trip, we did not find the owners particularly welcoming; the interaction felt more transactional and cold.
