Phong Nha River House

Great place at the end of the village. You're about 2km from the main attractions and restaurants BUT, it's beautifully quiet and peaceful. Right by the river. The owner was brilliant with communication using WhatsApp. So helpful.

Everything! The family were extremely kind to us and very friendly and warm. We had breakfast with the most fantastic view and they were super helpful with organising us with a motorbike and recommending us some local spots nearby. The location was away from most things but that was exactly what we wanted - peace and quiet ! Fantastic!!!!!

The location by the river was nice, although it’s definitely not as scenic as shown on the pictures (also, only one room offers such a view).

Even though the staff was absolutely adorable, it really didn’t feel like a professional guesthouse. It’s basically one very big family living on site, going about their days as if no guests were staying there. We tried using the free bikes one day to go grab some food in town and ALL of them had flat tires (and no one was home to fix anything or offer an alternative). That got us completely stuck for a couple hours before we could get someone on the line to arrange a taxi for us. As for the room, it’s quite basic but clean.
