Storm Amy, Emily and James did a fantastic job in seriously adverse circumstances.

This is a family run business . Emily and James are real people doing a great job. Rooms are spacious clean and comfortable. Storm Amy cut the electricity but we still managed to have a good cooked dinner and an excellent breakfast. Emily and James worked hard to make everything comfortable , warm And safe for every guest . Thanks guys we will be back

Fantastic and enjoyable!

Emily and James were very kind and helpful. The stay was very cosy with different rooms to relax and have drink. James prepared us a delicious dinner 2 evenings in a row. As we were almost alone in the restaurant it felt like he was our private cook. We surely recommend this hotel.

We had a lovely stay with Emily and James, they were very kind hosts and made us some great food. The house is a short strut from the loch which was well worth the short walk. A great stop on our way out west!

From the moment we arrived our stay at Mansewood was perfect. Emily, James and family have created a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing haven that is so enjoyable to be in. We felt welcome and well taken care of from the moment we arrived. Emily's suggestion about what we could do on our first day was spot on. The room was very comfortable and the food is delicious. Thanks again for accomodating the extra meal request from my daughter Hannah - she thought it was the most delicious meal ever. If I was planning our trip again we would stay longer!

Traditional hospitality with a cool fresh twist

The beautifully appointed rooms and breakfast/dining area. The option to dine at the premises - really encourage guests to take advantage of this as the food was excellent quality and meant you could have a drink with your dinner. The personable and helpful owners James and Emily who struck a perfect balance between chill and highly professional. The outdoor spaces and games, and the woodland glade. Advice on local walks and a dreamy swimming spot at Loch Voil.

The house was charming. Our room was small but we booked just the day before and the options were limited.

The shower was a little tricky in our room but no judgement. It’s an old house with lots of character.

This is a great place to come and rest before going to The Highlands Way, Glen Etive, or Glen Coe.

The location of the Mansewood in Locheamhead, is what got us to book here. We were looking for a place to stay before reaching Glen Coe. The host were fantastic and the food was some of the best we had during our trip.

It would of been nice to of stayed longer. We miss James cooking.

Superb, value for money and great hosts, great food

We enjoyed a one night stay having booked it at the last minute. The hosts were lovely and could not have been more helpful. Dinner in the evening had been prepared with a lot of thought and the combination of flavours were excellent . We would definitely go back.

The one thing was the bathroom was a little small but only because I have an artificial knee and the quality of food that is being served cloth napkins would complement this.

Overnight stay in comfortable and pleasant surroundings

James and Emily were very welcoming. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was a good size.James made a delicious dinner and even lit the fire in the dinning room just for us, which was a real treat. We also had a very tasty breakfast with just the right amount of food.

My lovely room #2 was directly over the kitchen. The smell of food was strong when they were cooking, and the chef spent time cleaning and preparing until after ten, this was very noisy and interrupted my sleep.

So beautiful house, gardens and decoration inside. Very comfortable room and lounge and dinning area. The host is extremely attentive, he could not do more to make us feel welcome. The veggie soup for dinner was out of this world.

Atmosphere and location a good fit for us.

We selected this property specifically for its location near the Highland Games for a one night stay. After traveling around the area all day (hiking, boat) we were ready to relax. The building was attractive and the space very good. Our room was lovely and fit our needs nicely. The breakfast was fantastic - food delicious and staff friendly. We highly recommend this property.

A superb B&B in a beautiful part of Scotland

A very warm welcome from John on arrival. Lovely comfortable room and a cosy lounge and conservatory for guests with a small bar. The breakfast was amazing setting you up for the day. I’d certainly recommend the FYG (fruit yoghurt and granola) The presentation was first class. Scott and John were perfect hosts. Absolute recommendation. Thank you.
