We’ve stayed there a few times to catch the early morning ferry to France. We’d happily stay there again anytime; the location—specifically the proximity to the ferry terminal—is simply ideal.

I stayed at this hotel by motorcycle on two previous occasions before taking a ferry to Calais.

Decent location, comfortable bed and in-room facilities
Very dirty. Just everywhere, dirty walls, filthy toilet on arrival in the hotel room (room 4) but the worst experience was housekeeping hanging on the door at 9:22am then letting themselves in after abruptly waking us up to ask if we were leaving. Checkout isn’t until 10am and it was like a police raid. My wife and I then felt rushed to leave and when we did vacate the room the cleaner was sitting in the stairs and asked ‘are you done now?’
Unreal. Shocking. Incredibly rude and disrespectful. Wrecked our entire stay.

no shower except over bath and the shower head holder does not stay still so you are forced to have a bath umless you hold the shower head by hand.
