Clean tidy rooms, fresh clean towels ,good parking,staff friendly and helpful,

Thin walls ,lot of noise from other patrons coming and going ,beds not that comfortable,dated .

Room was small and a bit tired, but comfortable. The bar was cosy and the receptionist was super friendly and helpful.

The convenience and easy to get to location.

That there was nowhere on their website or in the Booking.com advert for this hotel that they no longer have double beds in their double rooms. The beds are now all single beds put together. I wasnt aware of this. Im disabled, have oesteoarthritis and as I cant sleep near the edge of the bed I have to sleep near the middle and there is a thick seam where the two single beds are melded together. Because of that I didnt sleep well, & left me with exacerbated joint pain. Add to that despite adding the cars registration on check in paperwork and electronic, one of us received not one but two parking tickets. One for check in date and one for check put date. That was 2 × £100 fines that were issued despite being guests of the hotel and supplying car regs. It took appealing the tickets, the company who looks after the car park verifying with the hotel they had car registrations logged verified and total car parks upheld the appeal and both tickets were cancelled, but that did not negate the upset, stress and anxiety, (£200 is a lot of money) that it caused. So in view of all of that, what can take away from it is to advise to take a photograph of your car registration input when checking in so it is dated and time stamped, (I did thankfully), and secondly be aware there are no double beds, they replaced all their doubles with 2 singles pushed together, confirmed by management with explanation they get a lot of groups of people staying, so having beds that can be used as singles or pushed together depending on type of booking made sense - which is their reasoning for doing so. So be warned, 2 singles pushed together with a zipped cover is not and cannot be as comfortable and condusive to a good and restful nights sleep as a double. Would I stay there again if I was back in the area and needed an overnight hotel stay? Never again.
