That I was moved room when I asked.. to a worse room.

Uncomfortable beds , radiators apparently don’t switch off so if you like to sleep in an oven this is great. Fan doesn’t work either! The cleanliness was off putting to me as there were some questionable stray hairs in the bed and I’m not just talking a couple. Worst sleep ever :(

Overall pleasant stay

Good location for family get together. Friendly staff, good parking facilities. Would stay again. Good breakfast on the Sunday morning. Cleaners were lovely and asked if we would like our room freshening up whilst we were out, very good.

Breakfast on the Monday morning was a bit sad. Food was dry, and staff were going round packing things away (early) which made us feel a bit rushed and as though we should leave.

The hotel was nice and cheap which was ideal for what we wanted we stayed for the night bed wasn’t too bad. Bar on site Food on site

My stay was terrible there wete people next door making noise and I could also smell drugs being smoked in the building

Nothing I didn’t like that fact that I paid on igh and then had to pay 30 deposit and then the next day they took 100 pound out of my bank for smoking and I don’t even smoke I have heart and liver problems so can’t even if I wanted to I complained an they are not willing to pay the money back and I’ve stayed there before nothing but hassle I even clean up the room before I left so that the cleaner didn’t have to do much work

It’s a dirty property and the staff were never there to help out I suffer with bad mental health problems and they weren’t much help

Noisy all day as workmen were in. I booked a day room until 3pm and a cleaner let herself in at exactly 3pm. When I mentioned this to the manager he just smiled. I also stayed a few days earlier (28th) and I still haven't received the £30 deposit back. Just unacceotable

Noise all day from workmen ( drilling and banging). Cleaners let themselves into your room dot in departure time, so make sure u keep door locked. Staff never look happy. When I mentioned the workmen to ghe ma ager he just smiled. The only good thing about this hotel is the location.

Friendly, quiet (despite A1 adjacent) and very dog friendly

We needed a dog-friendly hotel and a good night's sleep. Huge double bed, quiet with excellent blackout curtains and an expansive, fenced area to exercise the dogs. Staff are friendly and helpful. Will definitely use again--excellent VFM

Unacceptable.

Very Rude staff, was given a room on the lower ground floor with no heating. Room was cold and smelled of stale smoke and alcohol on arrival. Both reported to reception and give a useless heater as a fix. In the morning not one but two cleaners attempted to enter the room without knocking on the door. Apparently the room was marked as empty which I’d of believed if it happened once but not twice within the space of two hours. Second time I was attempting to have a shower and not dressed On departure we were told they would be keeping our £30 room deposit for smoking in the room when neither occupant smoked and the smell was complained about on arrival . Absolute disgrace

The manger on that weekend was amazing helped in every way. The 2 younger staff on the bar saterday night was amazing .

Waiting full half hour to be served at the bar friday saterday as it was a big event / wedding .and not verry freindly . But the staff on the saterday nyte was amazing. The pillows on the bed was not comfey at all. And the rooms were not verry clean dust ect. Heating dident work in the rooms. And tgere was big busses out tge back door coming and going for silem seekers to stay and homless people wich they said dident happen there but we seen them come x go so wasent happy about that .as we had big family wedding there and felt bit uncumfterbull and most of the gests has came out in a rash on there bodys of the beds since sleeping the weekend

The extra bed in our room was very uncomfortable, springing and squeaking and literally lying on a metal. The pillows arent good and feels very tired and old, so lumpy. Food was fine aside from the bacon that's so hard like a cardboard. It's our 2nd time, the first stay was fine.

Remote in room didn’t work Lamp broken Shower discoloured 2 double beds instead of a double and 2 singles Parking at front limited had to use the overflow carpark at the back door to get in and out is a fire door so locks u out meaning u have to walk all the way round to get back in even with all our luggage

Location is great for Beamish Living Museum. Staff were really friendly

It was very noisy. You could hear kids running up and down the Isles of each floor. There was a wedding on when we arrived to ve fair but it was pretty frequently from about 7:30pm till about 10:30pm. The beds were massive which was nice but very firm. TV had the smart button cut off on the remote. It also wasn't connected to wifi, so you couldn't watch Netflix or another streaming apps.

Free WiFi, the staff were lovely and the location was perfect.

The bed sheet didnt fit the bed so we was practically sleeping on the matress.. the matress had no cover on and there was fresh stains on the matress that looked like poo. The kettle was riddled in lime scale there was no lighting only the lights next to the bed and if we had the curtains open people could of seen in. The telly was broke we had to fix it ourselves the remote wasn't working and the ariel was broke. It was not worth £95 thats for sure. It was absolutely minging.

I went for a premium room and it was worse than a normal room. The flush didn’t work. I had to move rooms to a floor that had been updated and where the bathroom had been upgraded, but it was still a mix of old and new. Bad smell from the shower. Damaged walls patched up. Stains on the flooring. Marks and tears in the netting. Tired decor and would not stay there again.

Good value hotel

Staff are amazing. Joel and Oana welcomed us. Both very professional and Oana was full of energy and welcomed us with a big smile even though it was past 11pm. The hotel is pet friendly, the room clean and the pillows really comfortable. Good location.
