Car park was easy to park in. Access to the gym and pool as part of the room is great! Good breakfast choices.

On the second morning we went to get breakfast and they were doing it to order (not buffet style).

Excellent helpful staff and a very comfortable, well equipped room. Very well situated for visiting family over new years.

Musty smelling corridors with no heating making them rather cold. Limited food choice and availability. Were turned away for dinner at 5.15 as they were too busy. (Only 4 in the restaurant at the time) told to try again about 9. Went elsewhere as didn’t want to risk it.

Payed for breakfast left the card out for breakfast in the room that didn’t get collected so ended up going to the restaurant for breakfast I would pay for the breakfast again and replacing the items was really slow

Not planning to return

Tried to book a spa stay and arrived to find no room booked for me, reception unable to book a room so had to book online whilst waiting for spa treatment Grossly overcharged for treatments and when I pointed out the spa brochure and pricing on their website they said it wasn’t their brochure and refused to honour the pricing though they agreed it was their website Meal in restaurant was cold as if it had just come out the freezer and not heated properly the replacement had really overcooked the salmon What should have been a pleasant relaxing stay was just awful with no responsible person to take ownership of the issues encountered

Awful - loud noises all night means zero sleep.

The location is convenient and in a quiet area.

I barely slept at all. The heating system loudly clanged and banged all night, regardless of where I set the radiator’s TRV, and at 6am there was loud music playing below my room, in what I assume is the bar area. I had a very bad experience at this hotel.

TV fell off the wall at about 8.30am on Sunday when was hoping for a nice lie in and chill out before home but had to move the TV and just checked out early. I did think the Spa looked small on photos which could have lived with but sauna and steam room were closed and jacuzzi and pool seemed incredibly dirty.

Their pictures are mis leading and definitely need major refurbishment. Rooms very old fashioned and definitely not categorise as 4 star. Their double beds are made by 2 single beds so technically it is twins.

Apparently the jacuzzi bath was leaking down to the floor below so we couldn't really use it. The lady below had to be moved. We weren't offered another room and feel it wasn't value for money as we paid extra for the bath, not happy

Average at best.

We had a Prestige room, which was lovely. Very spacious, huge tv, big bed, nice bathroom. The room was missing a hair dryer which was disappointing, called reception to get one sent up but it took so long it didn’t get to the room until after we had to leave for our dinner reservation.

The spa area was very small without ample seating arrangements. The loungers were very uncomfortable and the floor was dirty. When we went down for breakfast the following morning there was no staff in sight to seat us and not a single clear table. There were about 15 tables free but every single one had dirty leftovers on it. Eventually we sat ourselves and cleared the table for ourselves. There were no glasses for juice.

Absolutely awful place ! Lot of hair on the bedding inside and out, Bugs inside the bed and blood on the pillow . Reception staff attitude is very bad, she was very rude. Left the golf clubs outside the clubhouse when sign says CCTV operating. Trying to speak someone, no manager or supervisor on the site, no one called us back, no one seems cared! We will never ever go back there again!!!

Arsenal 2 newcastle 1 - weekend stay

The staff in the bar were amazing..especially Molly L and all the boys who were great over the weekend! The spa is so nice. Small but not very busy. Used the gym and facilities everyday of the trip.

The room was a bit too hot and no AC and an alarm went off one morning at 830 which was annoying. Apart from that everything was fantastic. Really good food in the bar and not too expensive.

Great location and friendly staff

Great location for exploring both the coast and central Newcastle. We stayed primarily as we were attending a wedding celebration being held at the hotel. The in house catering, breakfast options and the bar were all great and all the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed over a beautifully warm and sunny weekend. The lack of air conditioning was a problem and returning to our room after being out during the day was like stepping into a sauna.
