Well located

Terribly old facility. You have the feeling that people on the corridor are actually in your room. No air con. Very warm. Pillow so thick that it is unpleasant. Difficult to sleep

Great for anyone wanting a comfy stay near ascona center with a great view.

From the very beginning the staff were the most friendly and made us feel very welcome at check in. Especially Isabella at the front desk was very kind and clearly enjoyed her job which gave us a very homey feeling. The hotel is slightly old but not run down. The room was very spacious and the balcony gave us a wonderful view of the whole ascona area. In addition you're just a 5 minute walk away from the old town. Everything was clean and comfortable and matched the price well.

The parking situation was not ideal. It was very tight and also costed an extra 9 Euros for a spot. A small thing but still wasn't quite expected.

Great location but some small issues.

The location of the hotel was great. The AC in the room was also a life saver on a hot weekend. I also appreciated that easiness of checking in online. We also had a beautiful view from our balcony.

I think we definitely were paying for the location, rather than the quality of the room. The bed wasn't very comfortable, the pillows were quite flat and the room felt very stuffy without the AC on. When we arrived, it seemed like the cleaners hadn't finished cleaning up as there were two empty beer bottles in the bathroom and dirty dishes on the balcony. We also noticed the bath had some dirt around the side and one of the towels had some yellow stains. The towel was replaced the following day, and the new towel was clean. There were also some spots of dirt on the carpet. We also were woken up multiple times in the night by other guests who were very loud on the stairs, but that's not really the hotels fault. For such a great location it was fine, but there were some small details as mentioned that made it feel disappointing that we had paid so much for the room.

Great location, beautiful views, functional rooms and good breakfast.

This hotel has a great location, just outside the pedestrian zone of Ascona. Private parking is available. Rooms are comfortable and functional. Views from the restaurant terrace is fantastic and breakfast is very good.

Wonderful stay!

The staff was very friendly and nice.

Nothing! Perfect location, very clean, ideal for families, good breakfast, good staff, beautiful view from the room, even a kitchen available with oven and fridge and a private room with table to eat with kids. Close to bus, lake and city center.

above the expectation 3-star hotel in Ascona

I wasnt expecting much given the star rating of the hotel but I was positively surprised to find a comfortable and clean room, with a partial view to the lake, silent enough at night to leave the windows open (important during this particularly hot summer - a ventilator was helping too), and a great location close to the main promenade by the lake maggiore. Besides, the breakfast was amazing. Good value for what was payed, considering the expensive country.

The hotel is a cash cow, it charged every single penny possible, even coffee capsules in the room. Breakfast is ok but not great. It is overall an alright stay for us but not worth the price paid.

great location very close to the city centre by walking distance. old building but was clean. good breakfast overall.

not comfortable beds, parking for our car was not available on first day and we had to it extra for the 2nd day.

no value for money

the location is great and the view is beautiful. breakfast was good

upon arrival the hotel was not able to give us the room we have booked due to „overbooking“. they have reluctantly offered a replacement that was not equivalent. upon contacting booking support we were shown into the room we’ve booked within a short time. they offered a complementary cocktail though. no toiletries in the room except unidentifyable shower cream and open piece of soap, dark hairs on the surfaces.

Very good

A very nice hotel, in great location and lovely surroundings. The view from my balcony was beautiful, it was quiet in the night and the birds were singing in the morning. Tasty breakfast and very helpful staff - they corrected my invoice twice on my request, fast and efficiently.

The hotel is ideal as a place to stay if you plan to be out and about most of the time.

Staff were very welcoming and informative about things to do, places to go. Room was super clean as were the communal areas. Quiet hotel, easy walk to the lakeside.

Breakfast was basic and not replenished in anticipation of those guests who showed up around 930. Felt like the staff were winding down yet breakfast was meant to be available till 10. They did respond with requests for topping up the coffee etc, but would have preferred it was anticipated.

Very small garage where the walls show that many cars were scratched and no space so had to park 10mins away higher on the hill.

Nice view, unremarkable otherwise

The view from the balconies is great, and the restaurant terrace is very nice as well. It’s also well located, just a few steps from the towns pedestrian area.

The food in the restaurant was Ok but unremarkable and it took very long to be served, there wasn’t much choice either. The staff was Ok but not particularly friendly. The rooms feel quite dated like from the 70s. For the price, I expected better.
