Great location and great place to stay!!

The room was excellent with a great bed and tastefully decorated. Although we were facing the main road you didn't really hear much and it was great people watching. Breakfast was adequate and gave a good start to our day. A shout out to Samuel who was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The staff we spoke to were friendly and answered our questions. All in all a good hotel to stay in which is a 2minute walk from the train station and near all the restaurants and bars in the area. I would highly recommend.

The breakfast room could do with a bit of a revamp but served it's purpose.

Excellent value, comfortable, well-located hotel for a visit to Antwerp

The staff were helpful and obliging. The room was a spacious double with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was a full Continental Breakfast buffet including a hot choice of bacon and scrambled or boiled eggs. The hotel is around 100 yards from the Antwerp Central Railway Station on a major shopping street with a variety of restaurants and cafes in close proximity. The main tourist attractions and the major shops were all within half an hour's walk of the hotel.

The noise at c.07.00: it was the street cleaning and deliveries to the surrounding area. The stench of cigarette smoke in the corridor outside our 'No smoking' rooms (where did it come from?).

Location

One reception staff not welcoming and not very helpful. Luggage store room was not clean, not locked and not secure. Anybody from the street come in and take any luggage they want. Photo of the building is different than advertised on booking.com. I.e. Advertised as old historical building but actually it is a modern city block building.

Do not stay here

I booked 3 rooms as we were a group of friends travelling to Belgium for Tomorrowland. Rooms 904, 905 and 813. All rooms were listed on booking.com as having air-conditioning however the AC did not work throughout our stay. The AC could only be controlled from the reception and it was never switched on although we were told otherwise. Even more than the AC not working, the attitude of the reception staff was appalling. The shift staff did not take ownership, kept giving excuses, and told me there was nothing that can be done. The reception staff themselves told me that the owner is not bothered to fix the issues with AC and therefore nothing can be done. So in keeping with the tone from the top, the staff were not bothered and lacked basic customer care etiquette. When asked to speak to and escalate to the manager, the manager conveniently avoided any guests as the managers work shift is only between 3pm-11pm (during this time we were at Tomorrowland and never got to speak to this evasive manager) Inspite of multiple requests, the manager was never reachable and never acknowledged the issue or made any attempt to sort it out. I have been a repeat customer of this hotel and safe to say that never again will I stay at this hotel. This is without doubt the worst hotel we have stayed at. Although rooms are listed as AC rooms, that is totally incorrect as it simply means that there is an AC vent inside the room which does not work!!!

I would stay here again

The hotel is in walking distance from Antwerp Centraal train station and there are lots of places to eat and shop nearby. There are metro stops nearby, but no above-ground trams. They had a really good breakfast as well.

There’s no accessible entrance to the hotel. You have to climb about 5 stairs to get into the lobby. This is hard for people with mobility issues or heavy suitcases.

Snazzy hotel convenient for Antwerp Central Station.

Snazzy, clean and comfortable rooms, with kettle for hot drinks. Very convenient for Antwerp Central Station (~5 minute walk). Pretty good breakfast, too.

A good variety for an appetising breakfast including some fresh fruits available to start a great morning. location with viewing of the life in the street provides the impression of having breakfast in vivid ambiance.

Communication fault line with some rotating staff at the restaurant front desk. Even if they have to do their job, there is always a kinder way to communicate the message and that was lacking unfortunately.

Excellent breakfast although very busy. Excellent location next to the central station. Lots of good bars and restaurants across the road but the hotel itself was quiet.

Needed more staff on reception for 3pm check in, although it was a bank holiday when we arrived. Confusing controls for the air conditioning unit, so gave up on it.

Great location and comfortable stay.

Great location for station, trams , buses and shops. Good selection of food available fir breakfast and a good timeframe to have breakfast. Al staff were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and towels etc were changed regularly.

Room needs a bit of an update maybe a nice colour on walls and mirror by desk, extra luggage stand but nothing major really. The bar was not open and only a small seating area near reception if you wanted to sit somewhere other than room on a rainy night.

The hotel is neat and very well located directly next to the station. The breakfast (Despite the hours not always working with us for our day trips) was excellent value for money. Rooms are spacious and cleaned well. Staff was generally friendly (Except the guy denying us a different pillow).

We had a request for a different kind of pillow but it was apparently not allowed to give a double room pillow to a single bed room. This was very strange, and resulted in some uncomfortable sleep for my mother in law. Also, our smoke free floor smelled distinctly of old smoke. Not unbearable but noticeable.
