Extremely Dirty Hostel in Antwerpen

Close to station

I recently booked at your hostel ( immediately checked out) and was very disappointed by the conditions. The staff were rude and unhelpful, the rooms were dirty, and there was a strong unpleasant smell, possibly from a dead rat. I also found bloodstains on the bed linen and hair in the toilet and under the bed, which is unacceptable and unhygienic. I request that you address these issues immediately and ensure proper cleaning and maintenance. I would also appreciate a refund or some form of compensation for the poor experience. This also

Central but wouldn’t stay again

Location was central to train station

Room smelt on entry. Little heat came from radiator under window and was pointless anyway as vents in window were open and far too high for me to reach to close. As they were open this meant sound was very bad in room. Beds were incredibly soft and so squeaky everytime I moved so kept waking me. On second night alarm went off twice (not sure if the first time was an alarm in the hostel or outside?!) at 3:30am and 3:45am, so no sleep. Room was clean but landings and stairways were very grubby Would not stay again

Close to public transport, kind people, guarded luggage room, lot of tv channels.

Very hard mattress, insanely loud traffic kept us awake all night, elevator stopped working so we had to climb to the 8th floor by stairs (we both have very bad knees so this was horrible), metal bed frame creaked every time either of us moved.

Location next to the train station 2nd time staying here in my own room. Private room. Friendly staff.

You can hear people talking,shouting doors. The shower took a while to get warm water and the sink water never got warm. Could have been because of construction being done inside the hostel. TV didn't seem to have any channels available so turned it off.the remote worked this time, didn't tell anyone figured I would be wasting my time waiting to tell reception. Maybe they'll fix it after construction is done.

Best Deal.

Location is the best part of this hostel. Just right outside the main train station. There's a AH supermarket next door and the city center is a few minutes walk away. Lots of restaurants, cafes, bakeries, fast food around. The main shopping strip is just a block away. Also close to the flixbus station. Clean bathroom in the room with bodywash dispenser.

There was no fan or AC. It's cooler in September so we had to crack open the window to get some cool air in but that also let the noise from the traffic and train station in.

Perfectly located. Very good price. Facilities in the room were excellent. A big thank you to staff member Suhail who went above and beyond in his service getting me and friends into the same room when we had all booked seperately.

Room was a little cramped (good thing we all knew each other - thanks again to Suhail!). Building clearly undergoing construction work - especially the lifts! Initial attempt to check in (pre-Suhail) was a bit of a faff.

very good location. the receptionist was very frienly. I also appreciated that I could leave my bag there after check out for free.

The room was much smaller than I expected and quite warm (I stayed there in July). It would have been helpful to have lockers in the room to securely store personal belongings.

Great proximity to trains and hire bikes (literally 50 mts’ from the front door) and fun staff.

50 mts’ from Antwerp Central, (trains) good value for money and staff were helpful and knowledgeable.

The location is great—very close to the railway. Additionally, the staff were helpful and allowed us to store our luggage there for free after check-out.

On the date we stayed there, the main issue was that the hotel internet was not working. It was a struggle for us because we intended to use it to complete our plans. We had to pay for another eSIM to deal with the issue. Anyway, I hope this doesn't happen frequently.

Ι like the fact about the property that it was in a central place.

What I didn’t like about the property was the fact that it happened the first day of stay to happen with the general strike that happened in Belgium in 31 of March , i wrote to you and get refund but you rejected my claim, as a result for me it was very complicated and tiring to find a solution to come to Belgium in order not to loose my money, you should understand that I am in favour of Belgian people fighting for their working rights but you should also understand that this should not be against other people in this occasion me. You should show humanity in this cases. Secondly what I didn’t like was a special person I don’t know his name working in the night shift (his origin is from Africa, i am telling you to understand for whom I am speaking, and his wearing glasses).b To tell you the truth I never met a more rude person in my life. I would like to support that to tell two incidents. First of all before the arrival we receive an email in order to make online check in. Despite the fact that i follow the steps I couldn’t not make it. When I arrive there at the reception I told him about that and instead of hearing my request he answered, with a very bad way instead of answering my request. This is very humiliating for a customer when He asked something and not to fill that is being heard. At that moment i complain to this person about his behaviour. Secondly this person did another mistake, although my reservation was with breakfast he forgot to give me the paper in order to give it upon breakfast, and the lady the next day he make to stand up while eating and go to the reception to take the paper that proofs that i have paid also for breakfast. This was also humiliating for a customer. This is the second time in my life that i have such a negative experience in a hotel

Ideal for Antwerp, choose here above all others

I loved staying here, the room was secure, comfortable and had everything you could need, much more like a hotel than a hostel as I stayed in a private room. In fact, I moved here for the final three days of my trip, after the original hostel I'd been staying at was uncomfortable and run-down, so this place salvaged my trip a lot. Thanks! Great location right next to the train station, allowing me to wake up late, and still make my train on time for various day trips around Belgium. Excellent overall.

It's a bit spartan inside, but it's totally fine for the money and all I wanted was a cheap, clean place to crash before catching the Eurostar to Schiphol the next morning. For that it's perfect.

The location is extremely convenient for anyone passing through due to being next to the central station and close to a lot of food places, the staff were very accommodating for 2 young lads from England, and the room was clean & ready for us to enter as soon as we arrived
