Summertime Apartments

The second you enter in the apartment, you immediately travel straight back to the 17th Century. The rooms have pieces of art and through the windows you see beautiful ships heading to the stranger tides of the high seas. From the balcony you see the water canal to the shear sea horizons. The sunsets are almost abstract - it looks like the sun is melting over the sky and there is this mystic fog in the distant background that makes the ships silhouettes resembling sea monsters. The view toward the old city of Zadar, the old fortifications and the bridge is like an oil painting. This made me buy a painting of that exact view, by an artist near the Roman forum. Back to the present days - you have several bakeries around the building, cafes and restaurants. In front of the balcony there is this big 2 levels boat, which goes to the amazing Kornati islands. On the other side of the bridge there are 5 pedestrian ferries offering variety of travel routes to the Dalmatian islands. If you want a car ferry, go to the Main Ferry port of Zadar (Gazenica, at 20mins drive). Keep in mind that the best beaches are at the Dugi Otok island - Sakarun and Veli Zal (both stunning blue) and the car ferry is 1h30min. It is better to use the pedestrian ferries and a taxi at Dugi otok. If you want to go with a car - reserve your tickets for going and return couple days in advance. The last ferry is at 7pm and it is always full at max. There are no return tickets on the same day. Back to the apartment rooms - they are pretty big, you have plenty of room for everything. There are ACs in both living room and the bedroom - they are pretty powerful, you forget it is Summer. Use Viber or Whatsapp to connect with the nice owners (send regards from Tihomir) - the check-in and check-out will be easy. They will reserve you a parking spot for the check-in. But be aware if you are back after 5pm and try to find a parking spot - it could be an adventure.

The location of this apartment is perfect. Beautiful sunset view looking over the marina and Zadar. Hosts were very informative and kindly saved us street parking next to the building. Nice that bicycles are available.

Everything was great, a washing machine would have extended our stay here another day.

Great hosts and an amazing location. Used the little balcony every day for breakfast or a glass of wine. Close to everything shops/bakery/bars and restaurants.
