Lovely stay at Maria's

Loved it here, we immediately felt welcome, Maria and her family were really nice! Maria offered us a shot of homemade liquor and helped us plan our itinerary in Vikos, getting us to see beautiful things we would have missed otherwise.

Lovely little boutique hotel

The owners,, Mrs Maria and her brother Dimitris were both lovely hosts and ensured we had the best time possible, they happily created a plan for us to ensure we get to see the best spots around the area and have a good time. Room size was great and it offered a lovely balcony. Breakfast was really nice and homely. Loved staying In this property and would recommend it to anyone

A bit of damage due to moisture in the bathroom furniture, perhaps a shower cabin would be helpful as the curtain it's not suitable enough to stop spillages.

A Warm, Authentic Stay with Wonderful Hosts

We stayed at Maria and Dimitris’s lovely family-run hotel for six days with our three teenagers, and from the moment we arrived, we knew we’d made the right choice. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the whole place feels cared for with love and attention to detail. The rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and very comfortable. Every morning, Maria cooked a delicious homemade breakfast — something different and tasty each day — and even packed what we couldn’t finish for our day trips. Both Maria and Dimitris were incredibly kind and helpful, always checking in with us, offering great travel tips, and making sure we had everything we needed. The hotel is in a peaceful little village with no shops, but it offers a stunning sunset view and is only a short drive from a nearby town with everything you might need. It’s also a perfect base for exploring the Zagori region. We can’t recommend this place highly enough — amazing hospitality, great value, and a truly memorable experience. Thank you, Maria and Dimitris, for such a wonderful stay!

Will be back for a longer stay at a home away from home

Maria and her husband, with the help of Poppy, went out of their way to welcome us and make us feel at home. Indeed, we felt very comfortable and pampered. The room was amazing in its size and decor, and the beds were the best we slept in during our whole trip!!! The dinner was very homey and hearty, and it was very relaxing to have it outside with all the other guests and locals who came to dine. We really wished we could stay longer and will sure come back for a longer stay.

The shower was a bit crowded and water flow a bit week, but nothing to shadow our stay.

Fantastic place to see the mountains from

The welcome was warm Room was lovely with a balcony and view over the village and beyond. Parking close. Breakfast was great, something new (baked) every morning plus home made jams, local honey Maria (and Poppy) were great, giving tons of advice on where and what to go and see and in order, plus maps and instructions. The recommended rafting trip and a walks were all great ideas and enjoyed. Dinner options were flexible and home cooked served out on the square in front with perfect sunsets and cold beer. The village was great, friendly, all the old guys swap sides of the street morning and night and all say Yassas as we go by!

Highly recommend the place to everyone that is after peace ,quiet and loving hosts

From the minute that we made it there ,we were impressed ! We’ve been greeted by Maria who introduced us to everything around and showed us to our rooms! Starting from the reception you could admire the soft music,the nice smell and the amazing test in every little corner

There’s no spot in there not to like! The place inspires calm,love and peace! Amazingly appointed from bottom to the top ( immaculate bed sheets and towels ,spotless clean,delicious breakfast and so much care and love from Maria and Dimitri!

Exceptional

We had a delightful stay at Roptro. The room and breakfast area are beautifully decorated and comfortable. The advice, help of Mrs Maria, assisted by Poppy and Christos as translators, was invaluable for our touring of the area, and for a separate venture into Albania to see the home of my grandparents, which she had organised for us. The food, the coffee and breakfast were all bonuses. We felt like we were in a home!

Awesome Stay!

Maria and her Roptro in the beautiful village of Doliana are truly outstanding. Her hospitality and care were so heartwarming and we felt welcomed the second we walked in. The whole hotel is beautifully decorated and the rooms smell like fresh washed cotton. She also wrote a handwritten recommendation for a daytrip - and that says it all. Definitely one of the best Bed & Breakfast you can experience. Thank you, Maria, for this lovely stay. ❤️

Charming house with wonderful hosts!

Wonderful experience at Roptro: from the very tastefully and elegantly renovated rooms that preserve the charm of the old family house while giving it a modern and very cosy twist, to the genuinely kind and helpful hosts. Very glad I met Maria and Dimitris! I'll make sure to stay longer next time.

The perfect hotel when staying in Zagori

Roptro hotel is a very small family-run hotel. When we arrived, we were warmly wellcomed by Dimitris. We stayed in the hotel for 4 days and we loved every moment. Everything was perfect: The location, the design and cleanliness of the room, but above all we loved this hotel because we felt as if they were our own family. Maria was prepering every morning the perfect breakfast with typical Greek dishes and in the evening we were enjoying her great Pizza. Each morning, before leaving the hotel, Dimitris was sitting with us and giving us a full plan for that day (with the help of his nephew Florian who was translating everything). We are just waiting for our next time in Greece so we can visit Dimitris, Maria and Florian again.

Δεν έχουμε λόγια να ευχαριστήσουμε τον Δημήτρη και την Μαρία για την άψογη φιλοξενία τους! Νιώσαμε σαν το σπίτι μας, σαν να είχαμε μια οικογένεια εκεί να μας περιμένει. Ο ξενώνας ήταν υπέροχος, φτιαγμένος με πολλή αγάπη και μεράκι! Το πρωινό που μας προσέφεραν ήταν πλούσιο και πεντανόστιμο από τα χέρια της Μαρίας. Ανυπομονούμε να επιστρέψουμε στα Δολιανά και στους υπέροχους αυτούς ανθρώπους!

בדיעבד התברר לנו שהמלון ממוקם במיקום מרכזי בכפר, כל אירוע הכפר נעשים ברחבה שמול המלון. מיס מריה, בעלת המלון, מקסימה. מריה מכינה בעצמה את ארוחות הבוקר, עם אוכל מקומי: פשטידות מיוחדות, פנקייקים מיוחדים למקום ועוד. ממש כייף לשבת בערב מול הנוף ולאכול מהמסעדה של המלון ולשתות בירה. מריה נותנת דף מודפס עם מסלולי טיול באזור והצעות למסלול נסיעה הגיוני. מועסקות נערות דוברות אנגלית שוטפת שתפקידן להסביר לאורחים ולתרגם את מה שמריה אומרת. נפרדנו ממריה בחיבוק וקיבלנו מתנה, מארז בקלאווה מעשה ידיה של דודה שלה, בת 90. מקום מרכזי, נסיעות של חצי שעה לכל מקום טיול.

Η εξυπηρέτηση από την κα Μαρία ήταν το κάτι άλλο, μας βοήθησε σε κάθε μας ανάγκη. Το κατάλυμα ήταν καθαρό και άνετο. Πολύ ωραία χειροποίητη πίτσα και πρωινό. Σίγουρα το συνιστώ και θα το επισκεφτώ ξανά!

מריה בעלת המקום מדהימה, לא פחות! כל השאר מצוין ושולי כי היא בעצמה עיקר החוויה. אישה חמה, דאגה לכל מה שהיינו צריכים. הזמנו אצלה ארוחת ערב מושלמת home made שאכלנו על שולחנות בחוץ עם תצפית מטורפת על כל האזור, וארוחת בוקר ענקית, מושקעת ומצוינת.

לא לבעלי מוגבלות כי יש מדרגות לקומה השנייה, הטוש מקלחון מאד קטן

Das „Roptro“ liegt wunderschön im kleinen, ruhigen Ort Doliana. Wir wurden sehr warmherzig von Maria, Dimitrios und Poppy begrüßt und bekamen ein komfortableres und sauberes Doppelzimmer. Maria hat uns dann ein tolles Abendessen zubereitet. Auch das Frühstück war super. Wenn wir wieder in der Nähe sind, übernachten wird sicherlich wieder bei Maria, denn wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und bedanken uns für diesen top gastfreundlichen Aufenthalten Sehr empfehlenswert!

Sehr viel Komfort und moderne Ausstattung

Frühstück war hervorragend und üppig, liebevoll und frisch zubereitet, mit lokalen Spezialitäten. Wir haben die Uhrzeit ausgemacht, damit es mit dem Platz klappt.

Manche Tische sind sehr niedrig, mehr wie Couchtische, und Essen an so einem Tisch ist nicht besonders bequem. Am Abend haben wir gewartet bis ein anderer Paar fertig war, und uns dann umgesetzt.
