Papigko the silence of Mountain 💟

A relaxing and comfortable place to stay. The room was spacious, with one double bed and one single bed, very warm and nicely decorated in a traditional style. The view facing the mountain was beautiful and definitely a highlight. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always available, which made the stay even more pleasant. After 5:00 PM the bar area closes, but you can easily walk around the village.. there are several nearby bars open until around 11:00 PM. The location is convenient, close to public parking. I had a traditional breakfast with fried eggs, which was not included in the room rate but was enjoyable. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. The prices are reasonable, and I would definitely come back again.

Best place I stayed in Greece!

This was the best place I stayed in Greece. The owners were so friendly and gave me great suggestions of what to do in the area. The room was huge and very charming and the village was beautiful with tons of hiking available near by.

Gorgeous place to stay with great host

What a special place this is! Our host was welcoming and our room in the beautiful villa was spacious with gorgeous views. It was very clean and the location suited us as we did the Vikos Gorge hike. Our host assisted us with finding a transfer to the start of the walk. We requested a kettle to make tea in the morning and that happened immediately. As there are no food shops, our kind host prepared us a brunch for our challenging walk. We loved the quietness and ability to keep the windows open for a lovely breeze. We appreciated cold drinks at the end of the hike. And....after being in Greece for 5 weeks, we had the BEST coffee. We were sad to leave.

Great location to explore Papigo and the surrounding area with a very helpful host.

Easy to find, peaceful, attractive and sizeable room - friendly and knowledgeable host.

Pre-booking communication about the local amenities e.g. shops/restaurants in operation at the time of year of our booking (mid-May) and we could have brought more supplies with us and would have delayed our trip by a few weeks to enjoy Papigo at it's finest.

I did not stay at Rupicapra Villas because I made an error with the date. When I arrived I learned that I had booked myself for the previous night. This night was full so I had no room and it was mid-afternoon. While I discussed with Klairi a refund that I thought I should have, Ilas phoned a friend running another hotel who fortunately had a room available. As I had already been charged, they transfered payment to my new accommodation. After settling in, I realised that this arrangement was not fair to Klairi and Ilas since it was my mistake not theirs and they should not be out of pocket for it. I returned to tell them to keep the payment. They would not accept, not even half. Just how many other hotels would have done this? If this is the level of customer service one receives for not staying, then it must be at a very high level for those who do. Thank you!

Quit and comfortable place for your vacation

We stayed in 2 rooms which are located in one traditional house. Each room has 3 beds. The one which is on the ground level has also small kitchen (washbasin, electric stove, refrigerator,..). The owners, Ilia's and his wife make their best efforts to make our stay comfortable. The rooms are clean and provide warm atmosphere. There are always warm water for shower and extra blankets if you feel cold as the heating system is not activated yet. We had fresh and tasty, traditional homemade breakfast, made by the owners. In this location you will find also coffee shop even if not stay for the night. The house is located by the public parking, which is very important.

This is a lovely clean and unique place managed by Elias, a gentle attentive host. The small village of Papingo sits up on the mountain and is beautiful. A few nice cafés and restaurants are in walking distance. very recommended!

New Owners keen to make an impression. they have plans and the plans are good. great mountain retreat in the typical stone cottage way, wood floors. amazing views.

Honestly there was nothing I would say I didn’t like. They were having internet issues, but there was a plan to fix so hay stuff happens.

Great place in Papingo, lovely hosts, good communication with them, they always made sure if we are fine and if we need anything. We had a hamper with fresh local product like bread, jam and honey, and other essentials for breakfast. Highly recommended!

Great traditional rooms, need some TLC

Lovely traditional houses, made of stone, with traditional furniture, a lovely patio. Very good heating Incredibly convenient location (right next to the main village parking)

Clearly this was an amazing establishment a while back. It is also clear that its been left with little maintenance over time. The bathroom radiator was completely rusty and various parts of the room hastily/badly repaired. The location although incredibly convenient is not the most picturesque as it overlooks the parking. If these were factored into the price I'd be happy to recommend this place, especially for families!

Rooms were very spacious, well heated all day and hot water was available anytime. Parking next to the apartments. Very clean room and mattresses. Nice view to Papigo towers mountain.

Great base for Vikos gorge area

Large main room including a large table and lots of chairs. Liked having control over the room temperature. Kitchenette has fridge and mini stovetop which I found very useful. The bed was quite comfortable. I could see the tops of the ridges and mountains from the windows. Owner and assistant were very helpful and friendly. Great location right next to the main parking area of the Papigo town.

It's a bit dark in the apartment, could use some more lights. And it's a little thing, but a small shelf in the shower would be handy.
