Great stay

Lucas was the best! He was very friendly and really helped us with our trip we even sat with us and like told us stories The room was big and nice and it has good heating system the bathroom was good and the kitchen had everything you could need You can also talk with guests there it was very nice Overall very nice place we really recommend

Lucas knows Zagori.

Lucas is a fount of information on Zagori and probably doubled our enjoyment of the region.

It wasn't clear on Booking.com that the kitchen and downstairs were shared with other guests. We squashed an unexpected scorpion visitor.

Great, peaceful stay

Very nice, clean and quiet room in a small, peaceful village not far away from Monodendri and the Vikos Gorge. The spotless room is rather small, however there is a spacious common area and a large, well-equipped kitchen. Very nice and knowledgeable host who speaks perfectly English (and German btw).

Amenities in the bathroom (at least some soap) would be a nice addition.

Wonderful Accommodation. Wonderful Hosts

We really enjoyed our stay. The location enabled us to visit easily the various areas of Zagori that Lucas gave us information about, along with a helpful map. The accommodation was ultra clean, beautifully decorated and designed, warm and very comfortable. We enjoyed the fire, the comfort of the lounge room and made good use of the well equipped kitchen. Everything, we really enjoyed our stay in this lovely guesthouse. Lucas is very friendly and welcoming. He is also a tour guide in the area of Zagori, if you need someone to show you around.

Great place, highly recommended

The house is completely rebuilt in an authentic way to the area and offers state of the art electricity, bathroom, kitchen, windows etc. It was spotlessly clean and smelled very pleasant. The kitchen is part of the communal area and is very well equipped to do some serious cooking. Lucas was very helpful in giving tips where to go and easy to chat with. The house is perfectly located at the entrance of the area so you can easily get everywhere. I‘ll be back!

Lovely experience

We really like the set up of the place - a good communal gathering area with separate rooms with ensuites. It's in a good location to travel around Zagori and good value for money. The rooms were clean and the host was friendly. He even let us check in early which was really appreciated. We enjoyed our stay here.

Rooms had fans rather than aircon, which meant they were pretty hot to sleep in - we were there in the middle of summer - probably not an issue in other seasons, but something to bear in mind.

The place is simple but lovely. We occupied two rooms which were very nice, cozy and clean. The shared space (kitchen and living room) was also lovely and well decorated, and the kitchen had all the appliances we needed in order to cook ourselves a nice breakfast. Above all, Lucas was a great and kind host and had lots of good tips for trips in the area that suited our needs.

The only minimarket in the area is about 15 min drive from the village. It's not so bad compared to other villages in the area, but something that should be taken into consideration when preparing your trip.

Great place to stay for a visit to Zagori.

Guesthouse Lucas, while not fancy, is more than just plain. It is a comfortable place with access to a kitchen and common area shared with another room. The real value comes from Lucas, though, who planned out a perfect itinerary for the time we had. Our experience would not have been as good and productive without his knowledge and help.

10/10 would recommend

Lovely room which was really comfortable and had everything we needed, very warm shower. Pellet heater in the room which kept it warm. Shared kitchen and living space was great for making our own meals, it had everything you needed. Lucas was really helpful with local tips and hiking advice and really helped us to make the most of our few days in the area. Would definitely stay here when coming back to zagori!

Home away from home

Lucas's guesthouse was a home away from home. In addition to the beautiful rooms it had a fully equipped kitchen, cosy living area a with a fire place and an excellent selection of Greek music. Lucas is very knowledgeable about the area and was very helpful with tips for hiking and places to visit. I ended up staying longer than initially planned.

Nothing to dislike about the guesthouse. Don't forget to bring all your essentials as grocery stores are quite faraway.

Cooling off from the summer heat in the green mountains of Zagori

On our way from Corfu to Meteora we were looking for a good base to explore the Vikos Gorge and Zagori Bridges and Lucas Guesthouse seemed just right. And it was the perfect choice for us: the village is rather easily accessed and not too remote up in the hills which means you are flexible in your choice of day trips; the guesthouse has a shared, big, well-equipped kitchen which was great to prepare breakfast and other meals and the room was spacious, cool and felt like an own little house (we had the 3-bed-suite). As a bonus on top, the friendly and knowledgeable host Lucas who welcomed us, gave recommendations where to hike and what to do and who was simply available for any question we had. We definitely recommend to follow his advice to go rafting (if the conditions allow) - one of the highlights of the entire holiday for our family! Thank you Lucas & Melanie! We hope to be back one day to see all the things we missed this time...

In the end, we regretted that we did not have more time but our travel schedule only allowed 3 nights here. If you like hiking and visiting mountain villages, 4-5 nights would be better. And you need to plan a bit when to shop groceries/supplies and when/where to eat, as there are not too many options around (two tavernas in walking distance though).

great place for a holiday in Vikos gorge area

Great location, very helpful owner full of information, arranged for transport for end of the walk through Vikos gorge, a real bonus. clean and comfortable bedroom. Common meeting room and kitchen well equipped.
