Himara Hostel

Great welcome & very friendly place. Many different accommodation options. Due to a double booking, I was put in the large camp tent (so solution was found straight away). Excellent kitchen! Lots of sweet nooks & crannies to chill or socialise.

It is lovely, clean hostel managed by a friendly, relaxed and helpful family. The other hostel goers are kind and friendly and it is quiet at night - no partying. A few minutes walk to restaurants and shops. 10-15 minutes walk to the main beach. The breakfast is good - boiled eggs, bread, yoghurt, jams, butter, milk, muesli. You can also cook in the kitchen.

Everything was really good. We would stay here again. It would be nice to be able to use the washing machine, but they will do a service wash for you.

Main reason for a high score was the volunteers who helped out there. The grounds are ok with lots of space to chill and the beds were relatively comfy. Would definitely reccomend booking an en-suite dorm as the others/shared are not great. Moderately warm water.

The location isn’t great plus you have to walk down a gravel alleyway to actually get to the property. As others have mentioned there is no a/c and despite having a fan this was horrible especially in summer during a heatwave. Don’t come here expecting a decent sleep the room is so bright and because of the heat we had to leave windows open which allowed for even more light and noise in the morning.
