Good stay for a night, no value for money

Old stone-built guesthouse with pre-1950 items on display from the owner's family. It's located in a quiet small street of Papigo, 3-4 minutes walk from the church. The room was warm, the owner welcomed us with sweets, and provided some local tsipouro in the room. She provided home made sweets and local pastries for breakfast.

The bed was stiff, a medium mattress can surely work great for all people. The breakfast was relatively basic for the price, we were served a single omelette and one croissant to split between 2 people. Also there was no milk available, we were given a small single UHT milk tub to split between 2 people. The shower was too small, even my partner who is petite hit herself several times trying to move in the cabin. Finally, as much as we enjoy listening to the history of the places we stay in, we felt pressured to allocate time to have a tour of the guesthouse and learn the family's and the house's history.

Great experience in the center of Papigko

The place is so beautiful. "Morfeas" is a historical building, kind of a monument. Yota, the owner and manager of the guest house is very friendly and is willing to say the story of her family and to explain every little detail that we see around us. The little gardens with the local fruits and vegetables are made with so much love! Breakfast was great and many things were homemade by Yota. Such a great hospitality! The room was clean and nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. We had a great sleep. Yota welcomed us with a piece of local pie and a homemade fruit salad. So cute and kind!

The shower area is a little bit narrow. Also we had a problem with the internet but it was not a fault of "Morfeas". Those days there was a general problem with the Internet in the whole village.

The owner is so attentive and eager for each person to be comfortable and to enjoy themselves. She is full of great stories re the history of Morfeas too.

Beautiful house, incredible host, stunning nature!

The house is beautiful and very authentic to the stunning nature and the picturesque village. Giota was an incredible host. My friends and I had an amazing time and I would recommend 1000%!

I managed, but most of my friends parked in the village parking lot and walked to the house as the streets are very narrow, but there is available parking if you make it to the top!

Lovely location, kind and friendly host.

The location in Papingo was wonderful. The house has character and has a lovely view. The apartment was very clean. Giota, the hostess, worked very hard to make it a nice stay for us. She made us large breakfasts every morning and additional treats and snacks (including crepes and ice cream.). She was especially kind and generous. My daughter needed an aspirin and Giota was very kind to give us some medicine. I am glad we stayed with her and appreciated the Morfeas Guesthouse. It was a good location for hiking the Vikos Gorge (and back) and exploring Timfi mountain.

Very nice and cosy house, just like a family house, traditional and comfortable. It's on the verge of the village so very quiet. The garden and terrasse are great with wonderful views over the valley and the mountain. Breakfast is great. Most of all Iota is a great host, very helpful (she made a laundry for us and shared her fruits and vegetables from her garden!).

One of my best choices

Wonderful place. My family and I were surprised of the hospitality, cleanliness and the delicious breakfast. The view from the yard was beautiful and the vilage of Papigo was one of the most interesting places I have ever visited.

A friendly, clean and quite place 2 minutes from the village parking.

First of all Giota is a very kind and helpful person and she really cares about her customers. We traveled from Athens in the middle of the night and she called us to check is we are fine. Apart from that, the place was very clean and quiet.

Amazing stay (and breakfast) in a beautiful old house

It was a beautiful old house with lots of antiques in the rooms. Breakfast was served in a lovely old room. And the breakfast itself was amazing. Our host was lovely and we would highly recommend. The location is perfect as well with a number of nice restaurants just a short walk away and gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains

Giota is the most perfect host. She's extremely friendly and does her very best to make the stay perfect for you. The house is very unique and has an interesting history. It was very clean, spacious and convenient. The tasty breakfast is home made by Giota herself.

Access with a car is a bit challenging but we managed it with care.

excellent breakfast, enough to carry some with us and make it till dinner! our room was beautiful and there was a nice shared garden with breath taking view. The location is perfect, few feet away from the center of Papigo.

The town is wonderful- dramatic landscapes can be seen from almost every street. Morfeas is situated in a picturesque and quiet part of town, with great views. couple of minutes walk from main restaurants and cafes. Iota is a wonderful host who does her best to make you feel at home- you feel more like her personal guest than staying in a normal hotel. Great experience!
