Everything was perfect

You can see that the property was built and renovated with love, as it is kept clean and is really cozy. They provide towels, shampoo/shower gel, coffee and tea, and the tap water was drinkable. We always had hot water and the room was warm despite the cold weather. Our breakfast was delicious (included a traditional sweet such as an orange pie, eggs or omelette, toast or cheese pie, yoghurt, fresh marmalade) and was made by the owner's wife, served hot at our table. The owners were super sweet and helpful. The owner picked us up from the entry of the village, which was really helpful considering the steep streets of the village. It is not near any restaurant or noisy place, so you can sleep and wake-up piecefully. The view was also beautiful as the mountain is situated right above your head. Thank you for the excellent experience!

Wonderful memories in Small Papigo!

The location was great for us but is challenging for elderly, or handicapped cause the location is really steep, uphill and challenging but don’t worry!… Mr. George if needed will transfer you with his ATV !..:) The rooms were very clean and comfy, rustic and as expected traditional. The hosts Mr. George and his wife Mrs. Athena were warm and very hospitable!. We are really very early risers and we had plans for a hiking next day not be able to try their delicious breakfast, but dear Mrs. Athena prepared us sandwitches in the evening and cake to take with us for our hiking next day!.:)❤️ We personally do recomment it 100%!!👍

Thank you for the nice stay!

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The garden is lovely and the entire setting boasts a lot of history. The place is a bit far up but the hosts transport the luggage with an ATV.

The bed had a velvet headboard which was really quite old and smelled old.

Exceptional

Amazing accommodation - George and Athina are such wonderful hosts, very generous, kind and absolutely lovely - I felt so much at home and cared for. If I could I would stay for weeks. The rooms are super cozy and comfortable and offer everything you need. The breakfast was delicious, prepared in front of your eyes, huge and perfect for long hikes. When I arrived very late at night I got picked up from George and was taken to the accomodation by a quad as it's located a little bit up the hill. It's the perfect place for hiking, as many paths are starting in Mikro Papigko. Also perfect location for the Zagori Trek which I did. In my opinion Mikro Papigko is cozier and nicer than Megalo Papigko as it is smaller and maybe a little less touristic, just as if you would live here :)

A home away from home

A gem hidden up in the mountains. A home away from home. The location was excellent if you plan to take walking routes or visit all the surrounding Zagorochoria villages. Athina and George are excellent hosts. Hospitable, kind, generous, happy, giving. Just 2 wonderful people, we cannot say enough about them. Their house becomes your house while you are visiting. Accommodating to your needs and the purpose of your trip. Wonderful, homemade breakfast.. Everyday something different made with love from wonderful Athina. Super clean rooms, warmly decorated with so much love and care from them. Amazing view from their location. Warm and comfortable room. Super comfortable bed. George was wonderful giving us directions and tips for our trip and the walking routes we wanted to take. They come and greet you anywhere you park and they help with your luggage on arrival and departure. I cannot say enough about these 2 wonderful people and the place they run. But it comes to no surprise because everything they do they do with love and it shows. We left a part of our heart at Mikro Papingo. We will definitely come back to see you again. Thank you George and Athina for making our trip a memorable one.

Highly recommended - beautiful place owned by welcoming local couple :)

I came here with my friend after we hiked Vikos Gorge so we were tired. The smiling owner found us in Mikro Papigko and took us to the accomodation with a small tractor which was very a surprising and fun experience. We came to their gorgeous garden filled with flowers and plants and they welcomed us to our adorable room that was cozy and had everything we needed. Breakfast was made with love by the wonderful Atuna, and she even packed me some lunch (with her delicious home-made apple cake) for the hike the same day. When I was stuck without a way back to Ioannina they offered to drive me for a better price than any taxi and were very flexible about it. Conclusion - thank you for the wonderful stay! <3

One of the most unique, beautiful places I've stayed.

Nice studio way on top of a mountain, incredible views in a great village setting. Great free breakfast, good wifi, great hosts, fast communication. Would definitely stay again.

There is a stove top, but no pots or pans to cook with and no microwave. Our hostess allowed me to microwave food in their kitchen. The house is up a very steep series of stone alleyways and almost impossible to find without help. The owner met me at one of the signs, picked me up on his 4-wheel vehicle to take me up to the house first trip.

Wonderful stay with lovely people

We had the most wonderful time staying here. Our room was cool and comfortable, the view was breathtaking, the breakfast was huge and delicious - but it was Giorgios and Athena that really made our stay great. They were so kind and helpful, going out of their way to make our trip to Zagori wonderful. We stayed for six days, which we were worried would be too long, but we had such a good time in Mikro Papigo that it felt like we could have stayed longer. περάσαμε υπέροχα!

This place is amazing, we’ll maintained, great breakfast, and the staff was very very friendly and helpful. The helped us carry our baggage up the hill and let us leave it there for 2 days as we went hiking. In one word - hospitality :)

Awesome place, kind people, breathtaking nature

Amazing guest house, in the middle of beuatiful landscapes. The people were very kind and helpful. They picked us up on our arrival from the main square, they gave us tips on where to go hike and they helped us arranging rafting. The room exceeded our expectations, very cozy and comfortable. Also the breakfast was always delicious and generous.
