We had an enjoyable stay at Wester Auchraw Croft. The host, Melanie, is welcoming, generous and unique. She cooks the most tasty and unforgettable breakfast. The setup around the breakfast table encourages friendly interactions with the other guests. The house is sensitively renovated by Melanie. It is stylish and decorated with her own art. We had a comfortable room at one end of the house with its own bathroom.
One tiny improvement would be a heated towel rail. We stayed for 3 nights and after the first shower, our towels remained damp throughout.

This is a beautifully renovated croft with lovely comfortable beds, lots of great attention to detail like shampoo, body wash, real coffee bags and biscuits. The host even provides eye masks. The location is lovely, right opposite a small loch, where we swam in the morning and Mel suggested a lovely walk which we also did. The breakfast was home made and absolutely delicious. It was the perfect stop off on the way back down south. Mel is full interesting wisdom and lovely person.

We had a pleasant stay overall. The breakfast was delicious and the host was very friendly and welcoming.
there are a few areas that could be improved. The hot water supply stopped suddenly, and two of my friends were left without hot water. The yurt could also be cleaner, as there was dust on the walls and some spider webs (as shown in the photos). In addition, the duvet felt quite old and seemed to have been used many times.
