I came for weekend for a friends 50th, I stayed in hotel and there were 3 houses booked. Staff were great, restaurant was nice and rooms clean. Enjoyed local area walks and pool.

The resort definitely shows its age. Don’t be fooled by the pretty pictures on the website. Peeling paint and aged carpets. Thin walls mean you hear everything around you. As an inexpensive pitstop it was ok.

Myself and my partner, came to Moness for a break and birthday treat. On arrival there was a little 'happy birthday' card, which was a lovely touch. The hotel is lovely, a nice scottish feel, older with some modernisation. Our room was nice and spacious and we had fresh towels given to us. The only real issue was the carpet was quite dirty, I think they need better hoovers. It's dog friendly and not great when you have allergies so a clean carpet I think is essential. We had breakfast every morning which was included in our stay and it was lovely, staff were helpful and prompt. They had the usual buffet style with hot food on the menu, not a massive selection but enough. We were out a lot so didn't spend all our time in the hotel but we had some time in the spa, which could do with a slight refurbishment maybe but still nice and relaxing even though we encountered large families as the time slots we wanted didn't accommodate adult only. Kids were having fun no issues with that, it was more the fact that the jacuzzi was taken up by kids under age for a lot of it. They have a great bar and lounge area up the stairs with a couple of pool tables and a soft play area and also a park outside. We didn't get any treatments as it was all fully booked for everyday on booking our stay. The food and drinks are on the more expensive side I would say £19 for a burger is a little steep especially when the town is a 5 minute walk and does a few lovely food spots. They have a duck pond on site too. The birks of Aberfeldy is literally in their doorstep, we didn't end up doing this as we decided to go to Acharn falls and Hermits cave instead which we loved. And we stopped off at Kenmore beach. We also visited the Highland safari and we had a great time doing some gold panning, I have discovered a new hobbie, they have a few activates and a lovely wee shop and cafe. Owls and deer too. Overall the trip, hotel and attractions and relaxation was exactly what we needed. We would stay again.

We choose Moness over other accommodation to be able to access their leisure facilities, mainly the pool, but on arrival at check in, we where informed that we could not access the pool as it was fully booked until closing time. That seems a bit odd and badly managed if the guests cannot use the facilities during their stay.
