Alderdale is in the perfect location to experience Lake Lomond and Luss. Out of the 7 B & B's I stayed in during a two week trip, Alderdale had the most comfortable bed. The bed was amazing. We really enjoyed Alderdale and it was a great way to kick off a two week trip through Scotland.
This is the first B & B I have experienced that had a "make your own breakfast" in the room. This may be standard in Scotland, because over the next two weeks I had the same experience in other B & B's. Only one had a hot, made to order breakfast in a cozy, separate dining room. I did like that there were many options and plenty of food provided at Alderdale.

From booking to arriving communication was excellent. Upon arrival access was easy and exactly as described. For an overnight stay facilities were ideal. A selection of bread, fruit, beverages and other snacks suited us perfectly. The location is beautiful with loch coast, river walk and a pretty village. Great place for our stop over.
There was nothing to dislike. It was exactly as described.
