Authentic place to fall in love with Étretat

Authentic and atmospheric accommodation near the seaside. Numerous historical details create the feeling of travelling back in time. But the main treasure is Wilfrid, the host, and his hospitality. The best part of our staying was the breakfast with Wilfrid where he brought fresh juice and croissants and told us interesting stories

I was left with pleasant impressions. If I ever come to Etretat again, I will definitely stay here.

I love houses with history - and this hotel was a real find. Antique furniture, paintings, an atmosphere of coziness and inspiration. It feels like everything was collected with love. This is not just a hotel, but a small museum where you want to look at every corner. The owner is friendly, attentive and a very interesting conversationalist. The whole stay felt not like a hotel, but like a warm, hospitable home.

Of the minor minuses - I would like more attention to cleanliness. There were also minor inconveniences with the shower: the water did not drain well. But these are rather technical trifles that are easily fixed. These moments did not spoil the impression - the general atmosphere, the beauty of the interior and the hospitality of the owner more than compensate for this.

Amazing experience to stay in this unique place!

The room is really unique, it has a lot of interesting pieces of art and it feels like you’re staying in some really old French apartment. It’s quite spacious, it’s filled with details and pieces of art and it’s really nice how owner thought all this through. I would definitely recommend to stay there, because you won’t find anything like this anywhere else. Host is a great man, he gave us a lot of helpful advises on where to eat, what to see etc. It was also nice to have breakfast prepared by host sitting by a common table with other guests and have a chat. The atmosphere was very friendly and warm. Thank you, Wilfrid!

Lovely stay at La Villa d'Esperance!

Wilfrid was a very friendly and chill host! He gave e great recommendation for walks and activities. The house was arty, very warm and welcoming. The room was nicely decorated, calm and comfortable with a private toilet and bathroom. The location is very central, close to the beach, restaurants, supermarket. The breakfast was good and well prepared too!

The rooms at this location are warm and inviting, with plenty of charming antique features. The host was very welcoming and provided a wealth of useful information about the best restaurants in the area, as well as suggestions for things to do and see in Etretat and Normandy.

Super location. Wilfrid is very hospitable, entertaining, he gave us a lot of useful information. Delicious breakfast, nice table deco. Parkplace is about 10 minutes on foot. It was a very nice stay. Merci beaucoup!

Very authentic place with a friendly host in a wonderful town

Very friendly and entertaining host, he has lots of info about the town and surroundings. Nice breakfast and very easy to communicate with the host.

There was no TV in the room. We didn't mind as it was a hot summer day so we went out for a walk and drinks in the evening, but on cold nights it's something you could miss.

Thanks a lot for the great time! It was very difficult to say goodbye to this magical place! I liked everything about the hotel, so it was even more difficult to leave. The host is very polite, friendly and helpful person, he gave a lot of useful information upon arrival. I was pleased with the excellent location - all the charms of Etretat are within walking distance. Already at the entrance you fall in love with the cozy vintage interior of the hotel. I was very pleased with the comfortable and clean room, the view from the window and a wonderful breakfast. Thank you so much for such a magical day in Etretat!

Wonderful stay

I didn't expect it to be so cozy, calm and perfect... All the details created a charming atmosphere and the host is no exception. Great coffee☕ as well as everything else. Don't know how to describe accurately every aspect or element, just if after leaving you have thoughts of coming back someday it means you have been welcomed as at home. I had a really great stay in Étretat👌Merci!

A very calm, beautiful and pleasing setting for a weekend in Étretat.

Wilfrid is such a thoughtful and helpful host. We were able to check in early, he gave us a full run through of what walks we could go for, how long they would last, even drew a lovely home made map alongside! That was definitely great to be able to plan our time in Étretat. As we're vegan, he even had soy yogurts for breakfast!

Great hotel and nice host

The host is very helpful and generous. His hospitality and advice about the resturants and exploring aroud Etretat are impressive. Room was clean and comfort with nice collection of antiques, arts and wood stairs. Breakfast is nice and generous. Having breakfast with nice conversation with other guests and host make me feel like visiting my friend's home. Location is good, near the beach, resturants and grocery store. Just few minutes walk to where the bus from Paris is parking.

good breakfast, wonderful location (so close to the beach and cliffs!), very helpful and charming host. the rooms are a wild, wonderful collection of antiques, art, and unique pieces. the opposite of a character-less hotel chain, and great for solo travelers. would book again!

the location, in close proximity to everything, just near the beach 😍 the host is wonderful and really helped me a lot with my stay. When I got stuck in the cave, he even helped me get rescued. he is wonderfully, lovely and very helpful

We arrived 5 hours lateR than planned because of the Eurotunnel delays and he took us to a local restaurant. Door number needs to be darker than the white on white presentation Is useless in twilight or worse. .

The best place I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous room and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. Mr. Wilfred is friendly and if you have time to spare with him he would tell you about the history of Etretat and history of arts. An amazing place with good human spirit.
