Pleasant Christmas in Saananmoser

We had an excellent stay at 5 night stay at Hotel des Alpes. We were made to feel at home, and the staff was very friendly, from the owner to the servers. We had a delicious Christmas Eve dinner of a traditional "shabu chinios" of very generous portions and sauces. The breakfast offerings were continental style, with varied local charcuterie, cheeses, yogurts and breads. A close walk to the gondola for skiing and train station and a convenience store nearby made the location very optimal. The beds were very comfortable. I would highly recommend if you prefer a boutique-style hotel.

An addition of a coffee maker and refrigerator would be a bonus. Our room was on the street side, so there was some traffic noise in the mornings, but the windows are well insulated, so it could be minimal if you kept the windows closed.

Felt welcome & at home in a cosy hotel with just a minor issue dampening my stay a little bit

- very friendly & welcoming staff throughout :-) - beautiful & cosy rustical interior - nice atmosphere, well-lit

My room was in the ground floor, the windows headed directly towards the pavement, so without night-curtains closed, one could directly see inside my room from outsides :-/ I would have been very grateful to have been informed about that in advance; for my stay of just 1 night it was tolerable 👍 Acc. to the hotel, that is the only room situated like this, though. My suggestions to mitigate: - inform in advance - reduce price - install milk glass or rollos in the lower parts of the relevant windows

Great hotel. Great lovation, convenient to train and ski lift.

Closed at noon sunday. I mean closed closed. Everyone out, no staff, nothing. Tough to manage bags when ski hill closes at 4pm.

The location is great, the hotel is about 3 minutes away from the ski-lift. The hotel is clean and our room was pretty. Concerning the breakfast: Good selection. The bread was excellent. The hotel also managed to serve us gluten-free bread.

TODO, la amabilidad de todo el personal (en especial Cristina y el segundo de cocina), el desayuno (exquisito), la limpieza, la habitación, la decoración y el ambiente del hotel, todo fantástico.

NADA. Por poner alguna pega, justo en mi estancia sufríamos una ola de calor, y la habitación no tiene aire acondicionado frio, aunque por la noche no es necesario.

Todo FANTÁSTICO: instalaciones, personal, limpieza, restauración, decoración, ubicación. Ubicado a 5 minutos del huevo para acceder a las pistas de esquí, este fantástico hotel nos ha cautivado en nuestra semana de vacaciones de esquí en Gstaad. Habitación espaciosa (nº2), muy limpia, con una gran terraza, decorada con un gusto exquisito, cama muy cómoda y con muy buena conexión wifi. Personal muy simpático y agradable, dispuesto a ayudarte en todo momento, con muy buenas recomendaciones. Desayuno incluido en el precio, bueno. Diferentes tipos de pan, embutidos, quesos y repostería. Restaurante muy bueno, aunque solo hicimos dos cenas y una comida tardía, ya que la nieve nos acompañó y disfrutamos de Gstaad lo máximo! Hotel altamente recomendable, muy cerca de Gstaad (10 minutos en coche) pero a un precios más asequible
