We both really like the hotel. It’s in a great location. For skiing.

Ease of access for the lift. Nice restaurant with great food. Boot room very practical. Everyone really friendly and always ready to help.

Enjoyed the hospitality

You can feel the love for hospitality when you enter Hotel Kernen. Hospitality and service are highly valued. The restaurant is absolutely worth recommending. The location in the center of Schönried and right next to the MOB or Horneggli cable car is more than amazing! We will definitely come back

Really nice atmosphere, friendly staff, very nice location.

I loved the place and every minute I spent there. It easily accessible, as it's 1 minute away from the train station. I loved the terrace where I could sit and enjoy a drink in the evening after dinner. There is a nice lounge where I could work the full day, before I started my weekend. The breakfast is not extremely diverse, but it was more than enough and very good quality.

The staff were very kind and informative. Clean and cosy rooms. The restaurant was convenient and had a nice range.

Fantastic small hotel in a beautiful setting

Lovely, family-run hotel with very friendly staff, lots of charm and very clean and nicely designed rooms. Conveniently right by the train station and in a really picturesque area with mountain views. Would absolutely stay here again.

Ask for a room on the mountain/train station side if you are sensitive to noise as the front side of the hotel is close to the road traffic.

Old style mountain hotel fitted out with clever modern decor. Comfortable cosy bedrooms with modern bathroom facilities. Only 2 minutes walk from the railway station. High quality restaurant serving great breakfasts from 7am, and an excellent dinner menu.

A perfect hotel in a beautiful location

The hotel is very well maintained and managed! Totally renovated and beautiful located in the Gstaad area. Parking for free. Opposite the train station of Schönried. The breakfast is absolutely good and some 5 star hotels can’t compete with!

The big pillow not really guarantees a good night. It looks nice, but too high/tall ..Maybe a second more compfy pillow would be good?

beautiful, comfortable traditional Swiss hotel . The hotel staff are professional and very friendly. It is located heart of the wonderful Swiss mountains and ski opportunities.

I did not have the opportunity to try breakfast but I had an excellent fondue for dinner and great lunch the next day. The hotel is very sweet and well kept.

This chalet hotel is a real 3 star jewel!

Everything top level and perfect. This chalet hotel - solidly built, nicely decorated - is a real 3 star jewel serving excellent food! The managing director, former downhill ski champion Bruno Kernen, is lovingly caring for his guests and together with his efficient staff creating a very pleasant atmosphere! We will be back.
