I had a three night stay in November (outside the peak season) and it was 😊.

The location is ideal. It’s only a short distance to the center of town and it‘s in between to bus stops (car parks are available). Everything was clean and (especially if you plan to stay longer) you can also use the kitchen (for a fee). I would definitely recommend this place.

There are only a few TV stations like SAT 1 and Pro Sieben (I’m just talking about the TV, the WiFi was always great, there are no issues)

Amazing breakfast in a beautiful location.

Breakfast -- there was a free breakfast every morning and it was an excellent & very well-balanced breakfast with options for eggs, oatmeal, coffee, hot chocolate, fruit salad, pastries, cheese, cereal, and dried meats. Location -- it was a very short walk from Vals city center on the side of town closer to the 7132 Therme Hot Spring, and had a beautiful view of the mountains. Parking -- the parking lot was right in front of the building & thus very easy to find.

Literally nothing could have been improved. It was perfect.

For fans of midcentury modern decoration

We stopped in Vals to chill at the famous thermal bath. The Schnider Bed & Breakfast is very close, the room we booked is actually located in an architecturally interesting building just next to the thermal bath. The original furniture and decoration are equally interesting, especially if you like cleverly designed midcentury modern style. The reception is in the café, where we were served an excellent breakfast by very friendly staff. (Be aware that the café, and therefore the reception, are closed on Mondays. You will pick up your keys in a letterbox next to the café.) (Please note that the kitchenette shown in my pictures is probably not meant to be used for cooking, as there is no kitchenware.)

It would be good to mention in the room description that the beds are only 1.9 m long. For tall people, like me, this can be tight. Furthermore, I specifically booked this specific room because the owner's photos show two separate beds on the side walls. However, in our room the two beds were standing next to each other and couldn't be moved apart. No drinking glasses.

Perfect location in Vals to reach thermal bath as well as restaurants and hiking.

The location was perfect for use of the Thermal Bath. The breakfast was extensive and delicious. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Comfortable and friendly B&B - great value

They upgraded me for free with was a lovely gesture. The room was very nice, seemed quite new. It was everything I needed for one night; a no frills room. The breakfast was great; the presentation was beautiful on a tiered stone tray.

I didn't sleep very well as the mattress was quite hard. This might be OK for some people but for me it was a bit too hard.

One night in charming Wals

We only stayed a night in beautiful Wals and wish it would have been longer ! Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable for a short stay. The breakfast in their bakery/cafe was very good - and really nicely served. Staff made us feel welcome and were very personable. Highly recommended.

Excellent stay

Very close to the Thermes (5 minutes) and bus station, well decorated, clean, quiet, large double room. Excellent breakfast, homemade bread and croissants were such a delight! Book the thermes entrance with the hotel and you get an offer (or tell the therme you are staying in Schnider B&B)

An excellent option for a stay in Vals.

I came back at Schnider after a few years and it was a pleasure as usual. Communication during my booking was quick and effective. The staff was kind: I would like to mention the chef Paulo and the ladies who served the breakfast who were very kind and helpful. I stayed in the room in Haus Selva which was fantastic: the design of the room outstanding and it worths the stay alone, and the room- though is not big- is indeed very clean and comfortable. The bathroom is also very well design and functional. I enjoyed very much the room balcony, and the light and the warmth in the room. The building (aka house of architects) is directly connected to the Vals therme though a sky bridge. Entrance to the therme can be purchased at discount rate. I am definitely looking forward to come back!

Check-in time frame is a bit narrow, though I don't know if it is possible to late check-in upon-request, as I did not need it this time.
