I have booked this hotel as I have seen a good deal thru booking.com.Upon arrival we are greeted professionally by a young woman and checked us in very quick and easy.We have been assigned in our room and was surprised that we have been given a slight seaview 😆.I have book just a normal room as its only for one night and says city view so I expect buildings only or side road.The room was clean ,bed was very comfortable,room was quiet.We had a good night before attending our event the next morning.Breakfast was good and the lady there is also friendly and professsional.
My only comment is there is no complementary water in the room when we arrive.Theres also an old man at the reception when I went to get a parking at night for the next day. He is not smilling and not very welcoming approaching guest. not explaining how the parking works nicely.I find it a little rude of him the way he speaks.Maybe he is just old and grumpy🤣.Thing is staff at reception is the highlights of the hotel.He is not that friendly.The other younger man thou who I paid the payment for parking is nice.So far we are happy staying At THE VIEW HOTEL and will be coming back in the future.
None,I would not say I dont like the old man at the reception at night.Maybe better they dont put him at reception if he is not that hospitatble to guest query.

Every time we visit Eastbourne we stay here. The staff are friendly and breakfast is great.
The room was very hot. If you left the air conditioning on then you got to cold. Also it’s August and they had a Christmas tree up. To early for that.

Particular members of staff, Scott served us throughout the day, an asset to the Hotel!
Housekeeper who did our room 716, on checking out saw I left my phone charger quickly took it down to reception. The lovely young girl on reception chased us down the road to hand it to me!
The carvery, in the evening you are rushed, quality of food and staff not well trained.
