Well how do we start amazing period property rooms very good warm everything you need. We have called it the forget gem you drive past it at 80 mph lol. Please stop you will never regret it. Staff are amazing the food to die for Aidren is the most amazing chef. He cook from fresh no microwave ding here. Just be prepared as he doesn’t do small portions. Put expanded trousers on you will need them

Stayed here a long time ago in the 90s and it had an hasn’t changed. The bar is certainly more friendly and the rooms have a much cosier feel to them. From the moment you walk in you feel like you’re in an historic setting, and given it goes back to around 1571 you can see its heritage. Rooms are cosy, warm and have everything you need. Remember this is an old set of buildings so the floors creek and the plumbing is dated but don’t let this put you off because the bar is warm and the food is not only generous it’s top quality. Bar staff and the chef could not have done more -10/10 for both of them. Parking is round the back of the building but be careful with deep gravel especially in really wet conditions. It’s right on the A1 but we never heard a thing in the room probably be wise the walls are incredibly thick. Price was cheap. Sheets and towels super white and clean. Tea coffee and biscuits in the room. Good TV and WiFi also thrown in. Can’t fault this hotel for either large functions or a stop over, just perfect.
Nothing.

Fantastic staff, our room in the courtyard was excellent. I usually struggle to sleep when staying away from home but no problems here. The pillows were so comfortable (a big thing for me), the bedding cold and crisp and the shower was perfect.
Some confusion over the dinner menus. One online, one in the room and at the restaurant all different. However, chef’s homemade crème egg cheesecake was a knockout!!

I liked the rural location with private parking as I felt safe leaving the roof bag on my car. It is right of the A1 so convenient for an overnight when travelling. The staff were very friendly. I had my cats with me who they were very welcome and the room had a lovely big window for them to sit in. The restaurant has a good menu and there is a cosy bar.
The bathroom is very small and the bed was a bit soft for my liking.

It looked amazing from the outside but ,,,,,, very disappointing
Grubby …..near the noisy A1 …. Price too high for the below average property
The courtyard lights were on ALL night and so o couldn’t sleep … need a curtain at the door. Cobwebs and general grubbiness was the order of the day

An excellent overnight stop. Room was lovely, bed very comfortable with settee as well. Very clean. Staff were lovely with a nice friendly bar to sit in and relax. Food was plentiful and good pub grub. Huge car park and road noise wasn't a problem. Excellent value for money. As per other revieers, you need to watch carefully for the turn off. Best to input hotel name into Google Traffic as well as post code

Couldn't get any channels on tv and would've been nice to have water in room rather than filling kettle from bathroom tap

Friendly, helpful staff and an excellent selection of Whitley &Neill gins.
Only one staff member to cover reception, bar and restaurant on a Saturday night! Having said that, she was amazing but should not have been on her own.

Staff are welcoming and went above and beyond to make my stay as nice as possible.
I ask for breakfast to go the night before, it's always ready for me when I leave at 7.30 am.
The first time I stayed, the menu was extremely limited but they were able to find an off-menu item so I didn't have to choose the same dinner a few days into my stay. They also offer room service at no extra charge.
Rooms are basic but clean, they include a basic hairdryer. Hangers are provided in the wardrobe and there's an iron available.
I first stayed during the heat wave week commencing 7 July and while there was no air conditioning, the windows opened fully and if you're facing the courtyard or car park (plenty of parking), you'll get very little noise.
If you arrive late on a Sunday, they'll send you a message with your room number and ensure the key is accessible somewhere when you arrive. Super handy if you don't want to be limited by arrival time after a long journey.
It's a 5-minute drive in the opposite direction of traffic, to Sibson aerodrome (you can see the windsock across the field from the car park), so a great option for anyone doing their AFF.
I've since stayed a second time and will be making a third visit early August.
I can highly recommend it if you want a no-frills, family feel hotel.
No plug sockets next to bed so you'll need to plug tech into extension on desk.
Sadly restaurant closed on Sundays - Deliveroo is an option though.

Location perfect we were on our way to Latitude festival in Suffolk. We ate in the restaurant in the evening, the portions were very generous and breakfast was lovely. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room and bathroom were clean very comfortable.
We liked everything and were pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was. The only teeny weeny thing was that the lamp was beside the sofa where there was no socket so I moved it to the dressing table, but that wasn’t a problem at all. Thank you for a perfect stay.

We stayed one night, on our way to the Sibson Aerodrome. We only utilised the room and for a drink the night we arrived. The people looking after the property were great, very friendly and helpful whenever needed!

Location is great for what I needed. Room although not the one I booked was clean and tidy.
It was not as good as previous visits. We have stayed for the last 3 or 4 years every year. I had booked a triple room and that was given to a friend prior to my arrival of which that was the 3rd room key they were given to try so I ended up in a double with no curtain/blind over the glass window looking out on the courtyard so much room was lit up like a Christmas tree at bedtime. The food was ok basic pub stuff but nothing to get excited about. The menu has changed since our previous visit but much more basic. Not sure I'll book for next year which is a shame as the courtyard area is great to sit out in when the weather is nice

Food was good, properly cooked and tasty, and a decent menu.
A little more money needs to be spent on the hotel and in employing sufficient staff. For example, the Receptionist doubling in the bar and as waitress was unreasonable on her. In the bathroom, the water was only tepid.

Whilst the Sibson Inn Hotel possesses slightly tired decor, my double room was comfortable and very clean, both dinner and the generous breakfast were delicious, and the staff were extremely welcoming. Importantly, despite having to have the bedroom window open all night due to a heatwave, with the rooms situated at the back of the property, I wasn’t bothered at all by the adjacent A1 major road. All told, my overnight stay (including both meals and 2 pints of Guinness) cost significantly less than a single room in the nearby Holiday Inn or Premier Inn.

It is a very nice place to stay, has car charging facilities, and is much better value than most places in Stamford.

Lillie the young lady that appeared to be running the place by being reception, bar and waitress, very professional, polite and helpful , I do believe the place is going through renovation very qwerky in its design and I would stay again ,
Condition of the room I was in was poor in its basic features , windows falling apart, room door handle very loose , dated and cracked sink but as I say I believe some rooms have been renovated already
