Great stay, OFI in post check-out support

Great quiet location for a peaceful break or business trip. Free car parking. Great facilities and in-room facilities are great -big screen TV, good soap and modern outlets for charging devices.

I checked out using the express check-out facility of dropping the room key at reception. As I was in a rush , I called later to request a vat invoice and instead got enrolled to IHG loyalty program and told I couldn’t get a guest invoice or folio as I used third party to book my reservation. I found that very in-usual because I have stayed in Holiday-Inn express hotels and always get invoice sent by email.

Dog friendly. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Clean and well maintained. Quiet location.

Minor points- Mattress was a little on the firm side for us, but that’s just personal choice. I wish breakfast had fried eggs as an alternative to scrambled eggs. Also, more of a choice with maybe an addition of cheese and ham for continental breakfast.

Overall a great experience, except for the mentioned concealed pet fees!

I selected this hotel because of location and more importantly because it was pet friendly. No additional costs were mentioned or displayed on the website. However when I went to pay for my stay, I was charged an additional £30 for my dog. Scandalous and misleading. Prices were excessive for my pet and I felt scammed as no prices were ever shown to me until after I had secured my booking. Not impressed! Be honest with your customers! Too late by then, as I had already booked your hotel in good faith. All facilities, food and staff were great, but this concealing of pet friendly fees left me angry and feeling conned. Get it sorted!

A good budget hotel for the price

The location was good and easy to get to. The breakfast was plentiful and good.

I found the bed was hard and uncomfortable, the double is a small double l. The duvet didn't feel big enough, so I spent a lot of time pulling off each other!!!

Cheap and cheerful stop over for the family

Price was brilliant for 4 of us and the location was perfect for where we needed to be the next day

The beds were terribly uncomfortable. Almost expected it with the sofa bed but the main bed's mattress was awful and not supportive. Pillows were lack listed too. In a family room, it's a shame they never put extra cups in, so enough for all guests. Breakfast was nice but range was unusual. Most surprised there weren't fried eggs and no stash interaction during breakfast at all.

The staff & hospitality was exceptional nothing was to much trouble,clean rooms,great service and breakfast,The manager Sinead and her team are an asset to the Holiday Inn group. Also front of house staff Oli & Katie not forgetting Prince 10 out 10 for great customer service. Shelley Crawford.

Nice hotel but a sad experience

The breakfast was good. The heated container was an excellent idea.

We were in room125 with an adjoining door to 126. Unfortunately we had terrible, noisy neighbours on Saturday night. I reported it to reception who did knock but the people didn't stop the noise. It was like being in a very busy and noisy bar! It completely spoiled our precious time in Peterborough, visiting family. We were far too tired and irritable to see our grandchildren until early evening.

It was very clean. The room was spacious. The shower was good and had plenty of hot water. It was quiet even though we were there over the weekend. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection was good. There was plenty of parking.

The location isn't great if you are relying on public transport or walking. The staff were friendly and helpful but often found they weren't available at the desk.

The accidental booking of a single bed by using the sneaky advert of ‘standard’ alongside ‘standard double’. According to duty manager many guests make the same mistake and arrive at the hotel thinking they’ll get a dble and only get a single room. Easily confusable

Halloween family break

Katie Stan and Liam were fantastic from the minute we walked in. Check was quick rooms were clean and spacious. Nice Halloween themed decoration and treats for the kids. Huge parking lot and great accessibility. Very kind and Mature staff member with 15 years service even got a duvet for my youngest daughter when asked.

Very friendly& polite staff, quiet comfortable room, good choice of breakfast items, welcome pack for dog very nice touch plus them being allowed to sit in restaurant with you was really good Had a great nights sleep (both days) and would definitely stay in an Holiday Inn again.

Only things that could have been better was the shower could have been hotter & more powerful, plus with the 🐕 would have preferred a family room downstairs.
